Jethro Tull was a constant musical companion of mine as I progressed through undergraduate college. Unbelievable live concerts and really fine musicians. Wonderful to finally see them on iTunes!

@TheDataDude: don’t worry about your age, mate – most of today’s music is nothing to get excited about. For a few weeks I downloaded the weekly free songs from iTunes, but they were always so crappy I just deleted them. I much rather pay for something worth listening to.
Hmmm, I seem to remember that Ian Anderson, the band’s lead singer, had the worst teeth in the music industry. It was also bands like J.T. that launched me headlong into the punk genre. Taste is always a relative thing.

Already had it all. I grew up with Tull. Listened to Benefit all the time in high school and thick as a brick in university. Classic.

I love Tull! I already have most of what I want, but I’ll take a look at iTunes and see if I’m missing something. Tull were great musicians that could crank out some pounding rock and then slip into a great harmonic jazz riff. Anderson made the flute cool for a rock band, although no one has been to replicate his success; which goes to show how uniquely talented he was. He came along with song writing and singing capabilities too. I definitely like the early stuff and enjoyed heavy doses of Benefit and Aqualung in high school. I think Jethro Tull was the first concert I went to on my own with friends. The Forum in L.A., where the Lakers used to play.
