Apple’s all-new thinner and lighter Magic Keyboard for the M4 iPad Pro includes a function row for quick access to convenient features like screen brightness, and a gorgeous aluminum palm rest and larger trackpad that’s even more responsive with haptic feedback — so the entire experience feels just like using MacBook. It’s so good, it’ll make you want to upgrade to an M4 iPad Pro.

Ryan Christoffel for 9to5Mac:

Whether you’re coming from a 2018 iPad Pro like me, or a newer M-class iPad, there are plenty of great reasons to upgrade to the new iPad Pro. The OLED display can’t be beat; the M4 chip is unmatched in Apple’s lineup; and on a lesser note, there’s even a color-matched USB-C cable with the space black model.

The upgrade incentive I didn’t really expect, but that’s hitting me hardest today, is just how much better the new Magic Keyboard is than its predecessor.

If you’re in the market for a new iPad, don’t sleep on the niceties offered by the new Magic Keyboard.

  1. Apple has become a caricature of itself. Function keys on keyboards have been a thing longer than multiple app windows on a desktop. Like magic, they can pretend that they invented new functionality that they just intentionally left out from the start. That there were no function keys and the trackpad was so comically small from the start is a disgrace.

If the stock grazes $200 i’m taking profits and increasingly ready to sell it all. Did everyone enjoy WatchOS 10.5s key feature? The “Pride Radiance watch face to honor the LGBTQ+ community and culture.” 🤮

  2. Thinner, foldable, thinner, a bit faster, brighter, a few more emojis and, as pointed out here, claims of function keys now having function again…are the most common ways AAPL makes the news these days. Of course, Titan and AI are in the demise, or confusion news bucket, but there’s always the Cook Trite bucket where his pet projects get pedestaled. To think a CEO of the largest/richest company in the WORLD thinks a Pride watch face is newsworthy, let alone worth company’s human and time resources is tragic. No wonder the co is adrift. Besides, the guy must be such a navel-gazer, he’s lost perspective on matters of actual substance.
