Donald Trump: Tim Cook must immediately increase iPhone’s screen size

In a tweet today, Donald Trump claims to own “a lot” of Apple stock and that he misses Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

Trump states flatly, “Tim Cook must immediately increase the size of the screen…” Trump’s tweet provides a link to his Facebook page which expands his thoughts thusly:

…on the iPhone. It should be slightly larger than the Samsung screen- and they better get it right fast because they will lose a lot of business. I like the larger screen.

  1. Hey, Donald, given that your fat fingers & weak eyes can’t use the iPhone very well, Apple has just the product for you; the IPad Mini.

    Pick the right tool, fool.

  2. Sit back and watch how many ihaters will use Trump as a basis for their argument about Apple. Of course doing so immediately dismisses their point as POS- plain old stupid!

  3. I find it strange that cellular phones went from huge bricks to small little things and now people want to go back to having a huge screen again? I’ve seen some of the Samsung phones and they defeat the purpose of having a portable phone. I don’t have jean pockets that big. I’m not buying a man purse or a fanny pack to lug one of them around. Thanks, but no.

    1. I wonder if that would be such a bad idea… Have a flavor of the iPad with phone abilities. What more hardware would they really need? Speakers and microphones are there, but make it so you should use the headphones for calls, speakers for speaker phone…

  4. Why does anyone care what he has to say? I think it’s important for him to share his views, like anyone else…

The fact that it even made a news site is staggering however, his opinion on technology is as important as mine is on big city real estate. Let him have fun on twitter, but please we don’t need to celebrate it people 😉

  5. Maybe Apple should put a phone option into the iPad mini… Test the waters on who might want it. You know it probably wouldn’t take much to do. And it won’t have to be forced on people, just a variant of what they have.

  6. A really big screen phone is like a really big watch. Sure they look like fun until you strap one on your wrist. The ‘ phabletz’
Are unnecessary and frankly like the giant wristwatches a bit garish. Speaking of garish, it’s a perfect device for Trump.

    1. But that charlatan Pig Al Gore is doing so much on the board. And you libtard zeros still believe the global warming hoax. And you still think Apple did Not miss the boat with a big screen phone. I needed an on ramp. So trump is correct.. Sounds like he hung on to his stock foolishly as well as I did. Road it down. Sad. Apple needs the iPhone pro. Big screen stereo speakers long life battery better file system huge SS drive. 250 gb. I’d pay over 750 for that. Why not. And I bet that is what will happen. You all are thinking in the wrong direction. Cheap is not the answer. Screamingly better is.

  7. Ok, Mr. Trump,

Would you like a 7 inch iPhone or the 7.9 inch Mini with cell service? Choose the one will would like to lug around or perhaps you may let Apple run it’s own business. Bankruptcy, has been your department.

    1. He’ll continue to do so because there’s nothing wrong with the iPhone’s size. Variety is the spice of life, and it’s what makes phones interesting, too.

I don’t want iPhones to look like an oversized Galaxy.

As Cook says, it’s fine just the way it is (minus evolutionary change, of course).

  8. Why have a larger iPhone where there are already larger-screen products to choose from, such as the iPad Mini, and the iPad. Sheesh. Apple’s “fit-the-hand” form factor of the iPhone suits me just fine.

    1. EXACTLY: Hand Trump a Wi-Fi + Cellular enabled iPad Mini.

      Hey Donald. Go here:

  9. Kestrel1960,

I’m with you on the phone size. I’m a huge Apple fan also, but I also don’t rush out and buy the newest release of a product if I don’t perceive an immediate need for it. I, too, own and still use my iP4 that’s now just shy of three years old also. My wife has an iP5 — it almost seems too big and it’s only a little bit longer. I also agree, use an iPad or iPad mini to FaceTime, etc. Use them also with anyone of many VoIP app’s to call someone. I certainly don’t want to carry around some huge piece of hardware as my cellphone. Coincidentally, earlier tonight my cousin showed me his new Samsung S4. Sure, it sports a nice screen and had some “cool” geeky features. It surely does not feel as sturdy as my iP4 and positively not as solid as the iP5. Now, maybe those who pine for a “phablet-sized” offering from Apple want to use it as their sole device. I, on the other hand, would prefer to have the compact phone as you indicated is your preference, and use my other Apple devices as needed for other applications. If Apple does introduce a larger-screen iPhone as their newest model, I, too, will then buy th iP5 and wait to see what comes down the pike in the next few years.

  10. Unless Tim Cook takes real estate advice from technology folks, I seriously doubt anything Trump has to say on technology matters is going to make a bit of difference.

  11. Mr. Trump, you have lots and lots of money why don’t you just pay Apple to build you a custom one of a kind iPhone with the specs you desire? Money is no object for you.
