Apple iPad 2 buyers already lining up around the world

“[A] short, but early line [has formed] at the Rosenstrasse Apple Store in Munich, Germany,” Steven Sande reports for TUAW.

“As with the US stores two weeks ago, Apple Stores around the world will close their doors two hours before 5 PM local time to put up the new iPad displays and give employees a chance to play with the new device prior to the crazy rush,” Sande reports.

“With the iPad 2 set to go on sale in just a matter of hours in some countries, lines have begun to form around the world, and some of Apple’s online stores have begun taking preorders,” AppleInsider reports. The site “has received reports from readers who have witnessed long lines in Australia, Germany, the U.K. and more.”

    1. LOL! Samdung is so full of it. They see the iPad 2. Then try to pull a fast one by making a mockup that’s just enough to eat the hardware dimensions. Announce it like they have been at it for awhile, then the iHaters bloggers, techwriters, fandroids and just the plain dumbass clueless reporters are having orgasms left and right with the news. Too funny!

  1. Not true as of 2.pm eastern time no line up at either the Apple Store or Best Buy in Newmarket Ontario Canada. I never ever seen either store so dead, this must be a Canadian thing.

    1. I can only speak for myself: I ordered 30 minutes after the iPad 2 U.S. sales started on March 11 and my new 32 gb wi-fi was on the front porch the following Tuesday afternoon. It is my third iPad (gave first one to the wife; sold the second last week) and it rocks.

  2. March 25, 9am things have change in Newmarket Ontario Canada Apple Store roughly about 100 people in line. I am in the twenty range should get any IPad 2 today, another seven hours to go.
