  1. Now Introducing the new iPod Fogie Edition…

    What’s this, the Has-Been Parade?
    First U2, now Madonna?

What’s next? iPod Special-Editions for the DEAD?
Literally! Dead musicians… Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Bob Marley, Arturo Toscanini… the list could be endless!

    Sheesh!

  2. “I truly hope this isn’t the case. What a let down that will be.”

Is there some reason why he can’t announce MORE THAN ONE THING on Wednesday? Remember, the U2 iPod and the iPod Photo were announced at the same event.

I guess it isn’t a mystery where people get the idea that people on the internet are always hysterical over things that don’t really matter.

  3. Madonna is so past her appeal; it’s not even funny. Pink is a color that is so faddish that this product, if true, will be relegated to quick obscurity like the disastrous iMac Dalmation and Flower Power. What’s next? New Kids on the Block iPod? Sheesh!

  4. Who cares what everyone else thinks about their choice in music? If you raised your hand you failed. Did it matter if the U2 ipod had something to do with U2? It got a black ipod out there didn’t it? Black and red..even. Then there’s the selling power part. Sure I’m not going to buy one, but apparently lots of people buy lots of madonna albums and songs so it’s not a bad marketing move. Different colors and song certificates or fills are about the only apple appearance options besides barely visible laser engraving (make that color and it’s owning). Hey…even if you don’t like madonna you might like pink..no problem there. What’s next is vying for the primary colors. (w/ jimi hendrix obviously getting the purple haze shuffle w/ resoakable earbuds ).

But seriously…it could be time to bring out a conservative or tribute ipod. A brass instead of chrome back and a wood fascia (make it jazz or whatever). You could even have the blues new orleans charity pod.

As long as the execution is either a) carried out with the same attention to detail that the product was originally designed with or b) one of the original manufacturing options approved at the final design stage; then the thing is golden.

How can people whimper about choice…oh that’s right…everybody is worried that the next special event will be a let down. If you didn’t get an invite you’re not exactly putting time into it. Being a mac pundit you aren’t getting paid gobs of cash like ‘those’ journalists. If you’re a shareholder and you think prices were artificially inflated because of rumor and speculation regarding the event then look to the source of rumor and speculation and not the company.

Whatever…one more apple product to check out and another thing for the defacto idiots to declare inferior.

  5. Will the scroll nipple be a darker pink?

Just wait until the silicone cases come out that make it stick out like a nipple. Cast from madonna herself ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

  6. The Hangin’ Tough Edition nano soon to be released. It includes a Very New Kids Christmas preloaded as well as the contact information for all of the New Kids, in the event that anyone is willing to give them work…

That’s not fair, Donny did well enough in Band of Brothers….

  7. Madonna is not a has been, since when? You idiots out there should thank god that it’s not a Mariah Carey iPod. People like her, is a has been, passe, not to mention, a ho, period. Why nobody mention that?

  8. Don’t underestimate the Generation X market. Big ’80s acts like U2 and Madonna are still popular with thirty- and forty-somethings. Kinda like how the Baby Boomers won’t listen to anything later than the ’70s …

  9. Yah for Madonna! I can’t wait for the pink ipod! Btw, rest assure that the ipod won’t fall from any high horses or have any fake accent, it will jus kill itself when her songs doesn’t go to no.1, and it will contain songs featuring all black rappers and comes with a dog whistle, mmh, sound familiar eh???
