  1. Wasn’t Madonna associated with a previous special edition iPod? I remember seeing an iPod laser engraved with the signatures of select celebrities and I thought she was among them. I could be wrong.

  2. Steve is showing his age (similar to mine’s I guess — oh “Karma Chameleon”) — making young kids (girls, really) buy cute Pink iPod Nands … full of Madona’s (who?) greatest hits. May be time for a younger CEO, or at least for the brilliant CEO to delegate marketing and artist partnering to a younger hipper P.R. exec. No?

  3. SEX sells!

Maybe it will include the old nude stuff and some new more provocative stuff involving Brit Spear, 8 inch spike heels and whips.

The small screen may pose a challenge for the ‘Blonde Ambition’.

  4. Steve, I have this notion that you are reading these comments and not feeling good on this wonderful first long weekend of fall — when you should be relaxing, and feeling very good for the fantastic job you are doing at your two companies, especially at Apple.

Please don’t take it personally. It’s all mostly in jest. And if we ruined your saturday, please accept an apology.

  5. Luke,
Madonna recently released her music library on iTMS. That must be what you’re thinking of.

Deride the possibility of this product if you like, but Madonna is an awesome star (not necessarily the most talented), and pink is the new black. Madonna a has-been? I’d consider her selling power before making that statement. Besides, the latest and greatest is usually flash-in-the-pan, marginal talent, package marketing. And, as has been stated on this site many times regarding many products: If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.

Like Apple, Madonna’s been around for 20+ years — for a reason.

That being said, I can’t imagine this special event would be based on a Madonna iPod and nothing else.
