Apple TV+ today revealed the trailer for “Lucy’s School,” a new original special celebrating educators and based on the classic “Peanuts” comic strip by Charles M. Schulz, premiering Friday, August 12.

The Peanuts gang are anxious about starting at a new school in the fall, inspiring Lucy to start her own school instead, but teaching isn’t as easy as it sounds. “Lucy’s School” is a love letter to teachers, and an appreciation of the impact a teacher can have on a child. It explores the fear of change, and shows how Lucy, supported by her friends, faces and overcomes her own fears.
Produced for Apple TV+ by Peanuts and WildBrain, the special is directed by Raymond S. Persi (“It’s the Small Things, Charlie Brown”), written by Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz and Cornelius Uliano, who also executive produce alongside Paige Braddock, Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts, Amir Nasrabadi and Anne Loi, and is produced by James Brown and Timothy Jason Smith.
Also coming to Apple TV+ on Friday, August 12 through its partnership with WildBrain are new episodes of the beloved Apple Original, “The Snoopy Show” season two.
The award-winning slate of original films and series for kids and families on Apple TV+ also includes the recently premiered critically-acclaimed “El Deafo,” “Best Foot Forward,” “Lovely Little Farm,” “Duck & Goose,” “Pinecone and the Pony,” “Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock” and “Harriet the Spy” from The Jim Henson Company; “Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show” from Jack McBrayer and Angela C. Santomero; “Wolfboy and the Everything Factory” from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, HITRECORD and Bento Box Entertainment; “Get Rolling with Otis” and “Puppy Place”; Daytime Emmy Award-winning “Ghostwriter” and “Helpsters” from Sesame Workshop; Academy Award-nominated animated film “Wolfwalkers”; Peabody Award-winning series “Stillwater”; new series and specials from Peanuts and WildBrain including “Snoopy in Space” season two, “It’s the Small Things, Charlie Brown” and “For Auld Lang Syne”; and “Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth,” the Daytime Emmy Award-winning television event based on the New York Times bestselling book and TIME Best Book of the Year by Oliver Jeffers.
Apple TV+ offers premium, compelling drama and comedy series, feature films, groundbreaking documentaries, and kids and family entertainment, and is available to watch across all your favorite screens. After its launch on November 1, 2019, Apple TV+ became the first all-original streaming service to launch around the world, and has premiered more original hits and received more award recognitions faster than any other streaming service in its debut. Oh brother! to celebrate the educators who did not wanna go back to work! 😀
Not only that, ELITIST leftist public school teachers mock parents involvement in their child’s education. Example, the famous leaked vid during Covid teacher caught dismissively saying parents “want their babysitters back.”
Destroying the PTA relationship that served everyone well since 1897, as a powerful voice for all children, resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education.
Pile on the perverted woke curriculums, pronouns, critical race theory and teaching sexual identity against parents wishes robbing too young children of their innocence growing up.
Factor in exorbitant salaries, benefits, YEARLY RAISES for the lowest test scores of G7 nations for DECADES, while taxpayers pay twice per pupil on education in the civilized world.
The unions corrupted an honorable profession. Giving over 95% of political contributions to the Democrat Party year after year. In return, Democrat politicians give millions in taxpayer money back to teachers after they win, year after year. Opinion columnists have opined for years it appears as PAYBACK and classic quid pro quo. They have TOO much money particularly for dismal performance, money to teachers must be pared down to cost of living increases ONLY.
Blue states are indeed the worst, but hope is alive in Red states, private education, charter schools and home schooling. Anything to break children FREE from the leviathan of public school unions corrupting good teachers and once honorable profession all chasing the almighty dollar. Pray for our children and free them from woke bondage…
One must be a true idiot to declare public school teachers to be elitist. Public school employees have extremely demanding jobs with unrealistic expectations, often poor parental support, for meagre pay. You should be happy they care so much about children’s development that they put up with uninformed critics like you, and your brats.
Why do trumptards wear their ignorance with such pride? The answer is obvious. It’s easy to belong to a club with such low expectations, where you don’t have to actually accomplish anything. Just pretend Donald has the solution. (Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, especially on education).
What Libtard do we have here that won’t use their regular screen name and hide behind a manufactured one? BTW, your defense of status quote and excuses is PART of the problem, not the SOLUTION. Therefore, you are uniformed and obsolete.
Addressing your post it is a total myth teachers are not paid well. Add in gold standard benefits such as Cadillac medical insurance plans, pensions, carry over sick days not used, three months vacation every summer, every federal holiday off, Spring Break and Christmas Break OFF. By comparison, the average worker makes due on less pay, less benefits, no pensions and far less time off 1-3 weeks a year. So spare us the grueling work schedule BALONEY.
If they can’t handle unruly students with the full school resources behind them, they are in the wrong profession and as I outlined above, more compensated than the average worker. The gilded and protected sacred cows profession makes people angry by comparison, mainly because they are UNACCOUNTABLE.
YES, many teachers are elitist snobs, but more so at university levels. I know over half dozen teachers that feel ENTITLED and DEMAND yearly raises. How do you justify thousands of teachers at state colleges receiving federal, state and taxpayer dollars in hundreds of millions teaching ONLY one course a semester pocketing salaries of $400,000 to over $600,000 a year? With all the taxpayer subsidies college tuition STILL increases every year. Unbelievable.
I noticed NO COMMENT regarding U.S. teachers highest paid of G7 nations, double the taxpayer money spent per student and with all that funding increased almost yearly, you are defending them NOT doing their job teaching children?
The total golden compensation package for lowest test scores in the civilized world, they better have the backbone to take on critics. You talk as if classroom brats are suddenly a new phenomenon and EXCUSE some teachers incapable of maintaining an orderly classroom. No, unacceptable to behaving students in the same class.
Nice try, but deflection to name calling, politics and Trump trash talk does not excuse a highly paid profession with vast resources NOT getting the job done!! Too much money spent for the worst results. College kids that can’t read, have trouble with basic math and language the problems are out there and can’t be wished away with happy talk EXCUSES.
Taxpayers need RELIEF and EDUCATION REFORM to use resources wisely, dismantle the union juggernaut, have teachers invest part of their salary in 401K like everyone else, remove protections for underperforming teachers hiding behind tenure and accountability for not teaching children with passing grades.
Have NO support for a BROKEN system wasting billions of taxpayer dollars, failing to teach basics reading, writing and math, substituting woke “Critical Race Theory” instead, beholden to Democrat politicians injecting politics in the equation, shuffling failing kids to the next grade, and obviously not getting the job done to FULL SATISFACTION of students and parents!
It’s a disgrace taxpayers are not getting what they pay for and in some states, seniors are losing their lifelong homes to government auction sales because they cannot afford school real estate property taxes [more funding].
All that said, have FULL SUPPORT for the profession maintaining the highest educational standards and parental involvement ENSURING children receive the best education in the world!!! Got it?…
Steve Understood before we did…
“THE UNIONS ARE THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO EDUCATION”
We need to pay teachers a whole heck of a lot more. You don’t want the people who teach your children disgruntled, angry, and resentful. Otherwise your kids are going to come home telling you they’re Bisexual, haven’t made up their minds about what gender they are, or what pronouns they prefer, and God help us preferring to use Chromebook’s.
I don’t mind if my kids decide to be bisexual but I draw the line at chrome books.
Great
