“Ever wish you could sit down with Tim Cook and pick his brain over a bite to eat?” Angela Moscaritolo reports for Reuters. “Your dream could soon become a reality.”
“For the fourth consecutive year, the Apple CEO is hitting the Charitybuzz auction block to raise funds for RFK Human Rights, an international human rights organization founded by Robert Kennedy’s family and friends,” Moscaritolo reports. “The winning bidder will get to spend an hour of alone time with the CEO over lunch at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, and receive two VIP passes to an Apple keynote event.”
“Those vying for the chance to break bread with Steve Jobs’ successor better have some deep pockets and money to burn. With nine days left to go in the auction, the current bid sits at $125,000,” Moscaritolo reports. “If history is any indication, it could go much higher.”

1.83. Oh, and he has to buy.
No soup for you! 😉
It depends. Are there free refills?
With some fava beans and a nice chianti.
After last night’s earnings I’d say he’d have to pay me the difference between what my shares of AAPL were worth yesterday and what they’re worth today. And I’m pretty sure the chit chat would be awkward since I’d be asking about why Watch complications refuse to update in real time, why are they still sitting on those liquid metal patents and what are they planning on doing with hardware when VR/AR will make the phone and watch superfluous.
“…pick his brains over a bite to eat”..?
Yummy!
The Walking Dead, Silicon Valley style. Shouldn’t that be a ‘byte’ to eat?
If this was lunch for Microsoft CEO, it would be “The Walking Dread”.
He should be the one who invites. He’s 1e6 times richer than me!!!
MDN Note: Budding closes on Thursday, May 5th at 3:38:00 PM EDT.
Is ‘Budding’ the past tense of ‘Bidding’?
‘Budding’ might involve a bong.
Let loose the ‘Flower Power’ iMacs of old!
A buck-two-ninety-eight
That’s for the jukebox….
Nothing! times 2.
I’ve got $5 on me for that lunch right now.
If he’d meet me at Chick-Fil-A on Sunday, I’d buy.
I wouldn’t pick Tim Cook’s brain. I would whip out my laptop and give him a presentation on the topic of the fifteen-year epidemic of tunnel-visioned genius at Apple, titled “What the heck were you people thinking?”
