Apple will not release iPad 3 or ‘iTV’ at Macworld or CES

“I checked with a number of my sources today and an iPad 3 is not planned for release at Macworld,” Jim Dalrymple reports for The Loop. “In case you’re wondering, an iPad 3 won’t be released at CES either.”

Dalrymple reports, “You can also mark a TV off your list for either one of those shows too — it’s not going to happen, according to my sources.”

  1. Isn’t this the most obvious thing in the world? Apple doesn’t show up at Macworld anymore. Why would they show up randomly this year? Or, why would they release a product around the date of a convention they could care less about?

Next iPad won’t be released until a year or more since the previous one was released. That is so clearly their pattern. In recent memory, when has Apple ever released a new version or upgrade of a product in less than year since the previous model?

    Logic my friends, logic.

    1. Just as a reminder to you, the iPad2 was released within 9 months after the release of the iPad.

For the rest I will support your logic and don’t expect to see anything released until April 2012.

    1. I’m sure this will have been mentioned elsewhere, but ITV is already a registered trademark in the UK and has been for at least 50 years. Unlikely to see the Apple product branded as iTV.

    2. In 2006 before Apple released the tv it was publicly referred to as iTV. They later changed the name to tv when it was released. They said this was because there’s a tv network in the UK called iTV & there’s a Mac accessory (sold in Apple Retail Stores) called eyeTV.

Why would they go back and call it iTV now when they’ve already established the tv brand?

  2. I checked with a number of my sources today and this non-story is pathetic, but there you go” Jim Dalrymple reports for The Loop. “In case you’re wondering, it won’t get any better later on either.

You can also mark a more interesting story off your list too — it’s not going to happen, according to my sources.

An Apple spokeswoman declined comment if my non-story was the most non-interesting non-story of 2011.

I withdrew my original non-story back in 2009 and I have not viewed it since. In fact, I withdrew it from most, if not all, non-story trade shows in the last couple of years.

You can also mark an interesting-story off your list for those shows too — it’s not going to happen, according to my sources.

    1. You actually hit ‘Publish’ on this mess? Not only is it unfunny, it reads as if it were written by someone with damage to the left hemisphere of the brain.

Or perhaps you’re off your meds?
