Apple confirms launch of 3G iPad 2 in China

“Apple has announced plans to launch 3G models of the iPad 2 in China, which will join existing Wi-Fi options,” Electronista reports.

“The new hardware will go on sale Wednesday, made available through Apple’s online and retail stores as well as authorized resellers,” Electronista reports.
“Prices have yet to be made public though, and Apple’s only Chinese carrier partner — China Unicom — has yet to acknowledge the rollout.”

  1. So next Friday morning when the Nanjing Rd store opens they will have 3G iPads?

    Damn the great fire wall, this article did not open until I switched the VPN on. Chinese companies are suffering more with it, one customer just canceled over U$200000 order because the factory simply can’t access the required sites. Good for India, I guess.
