RUMOR: Apple to release white iPod touch with minor changes in October

“Apple is expected to hold a press conference in the coming weeks to introduce its fall lineup for the iPhone and iPod touch,” Arnold Kim reports for MacRumors.

“MacRumors has received information indicating that the next iPod touch revision will be a very minor change, with the primary addition being the introduction of a new white model,” Kim reports. “Only minor changes are expected for the existing hardware, with the addition of an oleophobic coating for the display and a revised ambient light sensor seemingly being the main differences.”

Kim reports, “Otherwise, we expect the models to be nearly identical to the current fourth-generation iPod touch model.”

  1. Seriously guys. It’s getting a little crowded in here. For Apple purists, you sure haven’t learned much about ‘slick design’ and Zen.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the branding and the easy of use of the site: I’m talking about these…*cringe* banner ads.

Just LOOK at this site. Look at it. I’m getting claustrophobic in here. Can you please please please get all these advertisers to BID on ad space (based on the insane traffic you’re getting) instead of just selling them every inch of the site for ad-space.

    They’re ruining the site.

    1. Ditto. I can understand early on that they didn’t want the Touch to cannibalize the iPhone, but I think the iPhone is safe from competition now from the Touch and can hold its own.
