  1. whatever…. I am not interesting in Apple freaking tablet. it would not be cheap as typically they set the price point so far. no matter what it would be equipped with camera or not, if its price will go really $1000 or around, I will pass it. I can’t find a reason to buy that by the way. tablet is not really worthy of that price. I am just fine with my iphone. that’s enough. no more Apple surprise. I have lost interest any of it.

  2. one more….

    if you compare similar spec with PC (and laptops), Apple mac is way behind. price is really higher. you can’t even play ‘crysis’ with all high settings with your freaking macbook pro or whatever. I think that it is only good for mac pro. if you have $2000, you can buy very high end PC laptop with all ultimate spec.

    here is a story that people buy mac. mostly they don’t know how dedicated graphic card or integrated card works when they use high demanded software or game. they just have no idea (most people). NVIDIA Geforce 9400M (only for Apple mac customized chip) is NOT DEDICATED graphic card. it’s similar like intel GMA 4500 chip. only difference is that it is little bit powerful. just look at macbook pro line. what they use for graphic. none of them use NVIDIA Geforce 9800GT or similar which is crap.

  3. I saw a netbook at a wholesale club with a built in webcam.
    Apple’s new device WILL have one if it wants to beat a $399 plastic junktop surfing device.
    Yes, battery life is an issue, but don’t leave a camera off.

    This is a short-sell promotion article, I think.

  4. MacTony: “I don’t see a need for a camera on a tablet.”

    ====================

    Yeah, and Bill Gates didn’t see a need for more than 4k of memory. C’mon MacTony, you have to skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it is now.

  5. Here is a real thought: A 10″ tablet is too large to serve the function of an iPod music player. So what if they tablet assumes that you already have an iPod, and works with it wirelessly? You would use the iPod like a Wii remote, and use the iPod’s camera, so that you don’t have to lug a 10″ camera into place. Your other hand would be on the touch screen, creating all sorts of new combo inputs.
