I’ve found out that the built in google maps app on the iPhone does not actually show the same information as maps.google.com, a local street :
north city station drive, sun prairie, wi, 53590
shows up on maps.google.com but not on the iPhone google maps app, however you can get it on your iPhone if you go to maps.google.com in safari and search for it.
