Apple today released iTunes 7.1.1 for Mac and Windows which addresses a stability issue and minor compatibility problems in iTunes 7.1.
iTunes is the world’s best way to organize and enjoy your personal digital music and video collection with your Mac. iTunes is also the easiest way to sync music, videos, and more with your iPod.
With iTunes, easily create a digital music and video collection by importing your personal music CDs or downloading your favorite songs and videos from the iTunes Store. Create your own playlists, perfect for any mood or occasion. Burn playlists to CDs and play them on your home stereo, or sync iPod with iTunes and enjoy your collection in your car or on the go.

Apple has fixed most of the issues with Vista, but a few still remain. It looks to me that they’re working on it.
CoverFlow for movies and videos … is that new?
The music video previews finally work for me. They never have until now.
Here is the link to that asp.net blog with all the Vista complaints…

Thanks, Fuzzy Bunny.
Geez, I never thought I’d say that while sober.
When was the last Office update? 2004? Three years ago?
Actually, it was February 13, 2007. Just over a month ago.
So Squirter, quit yer bitcchin.
Tower… what version of Quicken you using? I’m completly updated and it’s working fine here, need me to bootleg you a copy?
I hate all of these damn updates. Everytime I update I’m afraid of ending up like one of these poor suckers who loses their library or experiences a host of other problems.
Yeah yeah, I’m too lazy to backup.
Thanks, Jim
I finally got it reloaded.
It is ver. ’06 15.0.1 r2
Came with my iMac.
I also had problems with my Canon MP500 multifunction and had to reload it.
Then Toast 8, finally getting it to burn as I type.
I had to trash all of these.
Also, to reload Quicken, for some reason, the install disk turned my OS back to 10.4.4, so then I had to update back to 10.4.9.
Then I had to reload iTunes, which then required Quicktime to be updated.
These aren’t that big of a deal, just kinda strange. Something I had somewhere didn’t like 10.4.9.
Cujo…
Wow, Fuzzy Bunny, that ASP.NET site is incredible. Mutiny in the ranks of loyal MS fanbois. Microsoft has unleashed its latest Frankenstein monster on the world, and the townfolk are marching on the castle with torches, clubs and pitchforks.
And yesterday, Ballmer tells a crowd of Stanford Graduate School of Business students that Google’s growth plan is “insane.” Holy crap, has he checked in with the real world lately? Missed his meds? Just dropped by from the set of The Twilight Zone? Unbelievable.

@Fuzzy Bunny
WOW. I read through all those posts. Amazing reading…
How are the retailers going to cope with this level of dissatisfaction? The problems these guys describe on brand new machines pre-installed with Vista are astonishing. And many of these guys are long-term Windows tech-heads.
I think I will send a link to this site to the BBC

Qka: I meant major version and not incremental upgrade. MS pretends to care.
So, my point stands.
A good friend of mine just got a PC with Vista preloaded. After reading many of those posts, I know he is in for a really bumpy ride.
I told him to keep his receipt. He’s gonna need it!
Still no FLAC support.. 🙁 bad going guys..
From the Vista sucks link:
“Wow”, it’s unbelievable how much flames I can see rising up to the sky in a pro-Microsoft technology forum. And it confirms that you should wait for at least a few Vista service packs – or simply ignore it! Maybe we should call it ‘MS Hasta La Vista alpha 0.0.0001a pre-development nightly-build 8497912’.
Anyway, I probably made the best decision for years and bought my first Apple computer, a neat MacBook Pro 15″ Core 2 Duo, 2GB. This made me really say “WOW”, “WOW” and again “WOW” !!!!

Good luck with your service packs. Looks like MS will have to start from scratch to fix Vista. Perhaps that’s why Ballmer said they are starting work on their next OS ( Longhorn? ).
As for iTunes, I second R2‘s comment. In fact, I worry about ’s content business and DRM turning into Sony.
