Despite the expected long wait between seasons, “Pluribus” season 2 has received a positive filming update from Karolina Wydra. Wydra plays Zosia, one of the billions infected by the alien virus in “Pluribus” and the member of the hive mind who most frequently interacts with Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn).
In an interview with ScreenRant‘s Tatiana Hullender at PaleyFest, Wydra revealed that filming for season 2 is expected to begin in fall of this year.
Matthew Rudoy and Tatiana Hullender for ScreenRant:
Season 1 received widespread critical acclaim, became the most-watched show in Apple TV history, and it ended on a major cliffhanger with Carol bringing home a literal atomic bomb. Anticipation is high to see the successful show return, but creator and showrunner Vince Gilligan has been transparent that the series will not return annually.
[Wydra] also discussed the close bond she has with Seehorn, Samba Schutte, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, and how eager she is to be reunited with her co-stars and sharing scenes with them again. Check out Wydra’s comments below:
No. I wish I did. I really do. I can’t wait. So, Rhea couldn’t meet us because she was working. Samba [Schutte], [Carlos-Manuel] Vesga and me, we met up for coffee yesterday and we have such a beautiful connection, the four of us, and we genuinely love each other and care about each other and we’re rooting for each other. So, I cannot wait for us to be in one city, because Vesga lives in Colombia, so we don’t get to see him that often. So I cannot wait for us to be together every day. So, I don’t know when we’re going back, but I cannot wait. I’m counting the days. Sometime in the fall.
MacDailyNews Take: Without sacrificing quality, of course, the quicker Pluribus returns for season two, the better!
