  1. Firstly, MacRealist, you’re more like a MacBSArtist who doesn’t know the first damn thing you’re talkin’ bout Willis. Punk-a** biatch.

Secondly, I would personally love to see Balmer go over the edge… of a cliff… in a car… landing on pointy rocks… next to a gas station.

  2. Rats … I love Apple but I still hate their ads ….

All attitude and no info ….. Show me something ……

The average consumer still has not heard of Keynote , GarageBand, iTunes, iPhoto, etc .. etc…

Virus free … no registry problems … runs super quiet … and on and on … but never ever promoted.

Apple’s ad men have never caught up with their engineers …

  3. I’m sorry for what I said earlier…i’m a douchebag. I had no idea what I was talking about, i’m just intimidated by Apple’s better software, and more stylish hardware. It really has become pointless to talk crap about Macs, since…you know, they can do everything and more a PC can.

  4. I agree with Bonkers for Mac. Apple is basically saying we are not the computer of choice for biz.

Those that complaint about not macs at work and IT this or IT that should remember these ads.

  5. No matter how Apple advertises its products, there invariably will be “second guessers”™.

    Never the less,
    Rock on Steve!

    ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”raspberry” style=”border:0;” />

  6. I can’t stand how they don’t show the product they’re talking about… OS X. How the hell are they going to sell people who have never used a Mac by just showing them what they can’t do on their current PCs? I like these ads but they aren’t doing a good job of selling the product.

  7. Thanks Ampar for the link…

Tom Skerrit? Man, that site is boring as hell! Skerrit can’t act his way out of the boredom he’s clearly feeling reading that script. Reading the phone book would be much more interesting.

    BUT

At least Microcrap is showing the product. PC users will actually see what Vista can do over their current Windows OS vs. not see what a Mac can do better because Apple won’t show them!

    Geez!

  8. I also agree with Bonkers for Mac. Why make it seem that PCs do business better than Macs

Do we need to concede a (fictional) business advantage to PCs in order to capture more of the consumer market?

MDN word is “knew” As in “If they only knew”?

  9. I heard Tom Skerrit is shagging Katharine Helmond for the pity sex. Well, if it was on the internet it must be . . .

“Hi, I’m Bill Gates and invented computers.”

    Dumbasses are all around you.

  10. I’ve been using computers since 1982. The Apple IIe was my first computer. I did switch to Windows in the 90’s and came back to the Mac in 1999. It was my work that gave me the choice what computer I wanted and I went back to the Mac and have not looked back. After looking at this web page: http://www.seewindowsvista.com/ all I can say is Big F***ing Deal. There is nothing on that page that is new or exciting. I think they should have hired a better spokes person maybe chef Gordon Ramsey of Hell’s Kitchen. I live in Pasadena, California and this weekend I went into the store to look at some software I wanted to buy but what was really was interesting was to see that most of the people in their was looking at the new MacBooks and not too many were looking at the ipods. The most common thing I heard people say was “It now runs Windows and OS X” but almost all were interested in OS X. They all seem to salivate over X.

  11. the Mac still comes over as bit of a know-it-all, over confident and too arrogant

the PC comes over as a friendly nice guy, who is blissfully unaware of any shortcomings he might have

in real life I’d rather have the PC as friend/neighbour than the Mac

on the other hand they are excellent ads that in a simple way make some great points… its just that your sympathies lean towards the PC (fabulously portrayed by the way)

  12. These ads are awful. They are just to arrogant and are trying too hard to be cute.

They are pointed at the converted already. PC users get up and go to take a piss when these ads come on.

  13. To follow on from these ads we now need one where the Mac guy is called out by the windows guy for being all fun and no responsibility, sure he can do the fun stuff but some of us need to work. Cut to Mac guy in super smart suit saying he can run office and many other apps plus windows if you really need a certain app.

I think these adverts are fine if part of a series that gradually tells the whole mac story.
