President Bush shows off his Apple iPod (link to video)

“Ever wondered what the most powerful man in the world listens to in his spare time? In a rare departure from formal media interviews, George Bush has revealed what is on his personal IPod. Andrew Wilson reports on the President’s favourite tunes,” Sky News reports.

President Bush gets out his 4G iPod and reads some of the songs contained within: The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Alan Jackson, The Archies, Aretha Franklin, “Dan McLean,” upon which Bush was corrected “Don McLean” by Brit Hume, and more. Bush also has an iPod shuffle for bike riding. Bush also says U2’s Bono showed him the new Apple iPod 5G. “My iPod is a clunker, the newer version is much lighter” compared to the new 5G video-capable iPod, Bush said.

  1. The President using Apple computers and all else makes sense, good sense. Can’t have the President’s computer hacked or spyware infected. I wouldn’t want anyone in government using anything but Apple.

    As for this comment:
“Is that the same one that was under his jacket during the Kerry debates?”
Anyone heard of Photoshop? I wouldn’t put anything past the press. Bush isn’t perfect but the other choice, Kerry, was far more frightening in these turbulent times than electing Bush. Can’t believe there are people that actually think you can strike honest agreements and deals with terrorists. Please. It is a sad fact that some groups of people only understand force and won’t honor civilized treaties.

Ted Kennedy is a joke. The young Dems today don’t remember Ted’s DWI driving his car with a young female aid Mary Jo Kopechne into a river then fleeing–and not for immediate help. He’s got his own skeletons in his closet of scum.

Primary reason I left the Dem. party years ago they stood for too many bleading heart give-aways to people too freakin’ lazy to work. (some being some distant relatves of mine). Or supporting people stupid enough keep having babies even though they were dirt poor to begin with, or had 4 more babies after they were complaining about not having enough money when they had the FIRST one. I’m sick of watching my hard earned money going to the lazy and the stupid.

Admittedly, I do still side with the Democrats on environmental concerns.

  2. Well, Mac Fool, I don’t usually engage in arguments with insane people like yourself but your post certainly warrants a rebuttal being that you put words in my mouth that were never posted by me.

    Let’s start from the beginning.

    >>Hate, anger and the unwillingness to believe what you see and not what you hear is what is being presented.

Hate comes from the many posts here calling our Pres all kinds of names using profane and filthy language. You liberals refuse to believe what you see with your own eyes, partly due to the mainstream liberal press. There was an historice election in a now free Iraq. What did you get from the news headlines…..winter storm reports and the liberal NYTimes compromising national security by telling the terrororists that the Pres authorized monitoring of interanational communications. NOTHING about Iraq. So you knuckleheads get played by the mainstream press, meanwhile I get the real scoop from blogs. Since you stated you were a news journalist, there’s more reason for me to question your motives here.

    >>To begin with I’d like to know where this liberal news report is. Face it, news doesn’t’ care about you, it doesn’t care about me. It cares about money. There is no news any more. It is all hype and it goes to the highest bidder. If there is a liberal president all the hype will be liberal. Get real. That’s why I told you READ. NEWS FLASH. What goes down in print will be history, not what is on TV or Radio. I used to work in the news industry for TV. I was a journalist. TV News is an entertainment market. Think of the catch phrases used in news. “If it bleeds it leads” “If it dies it flies” “violence sells” You can that responsible news?

Thank you for making my point. Ever hear of all the good things we have done for Iraq and Afghanistan? No, nothing but doom, gloom, and body counts. The mainstream media bias against America is woefully transparent to the average viewer. That’s why Fox is gaining share. Thanks again Fool.

    >>You can share my arsenal of weapons if we ever get attacked. I am friends with both liberals and conservative views but I don’t address them as such nor do I hate either one. I take issue on views WHEN we talk of it. I know many liberal that own weapons. That is not only our right it is our responsibility. We are asking 16 and 19 year olds to die. We should be willing to die for our cause also instead of hiding behind the military to “Save us, ewww, ooo, save us.” I will say that I know conservative people who are against them and she hates being classified with the liberals’ thank you.

Again with the weapons. I noticed you mentioned earlier that your friends have the weapons. So WHERE DO I GO to get a weapon after your Democratic party is finally successful in banning them? Huh? This is what many tryannical despots do to enslave a nation? Does Saddam Hussein ring a bell? You ARE a fool. And a dangerous one at that. BTW, why don’t you read the US Constitution. ARTICLE 1, Section 8. A military force is what protects this nation and keeps us free. Is this so hard to understand or do I need to send you a SchoolHouse Rocks DVD.

    >>If you just had one thought in this country (liberal/conservative, choose one) we would not have a freethinking America. I’m glad there are two or more sides. It’s part of our checks and balances and it works and has worked for over 200 years. Remember, Saddam excuted freethinkers. Is that what you want?

You are insane!! I never said anything about EXECUTING (get the f-ing spelling right) ANYBODY!!!!. I just think your way of thinking is wrong and endangers my way of life. That’s it. I have every right to do so. Moron.

    >>I’m not afraid of being wrong and to that I must say that I have to retract what I said about not being the first to mention Michael Moore. I was late last night when I posted and I did not re read my original post. But that was in response to a quote and I didn’t remember thinking Michael Moore. My Bad. But I still stick to the notion that Michael Moore is not how all Americans’ should think nor is it the way all liberals’ think. I’m not saying Michael Moore is wrong. I’m saying is points are interesting.

    Yup. You’re a moron.

    >>But I can also admit another mistake. I voted for Bush and I find myself sorry for having done so. Right now we find ourselves in the worst economy because of this mistake. We believed in him. Which comes to another point. Not all that voted for Bush are happy with him.

Worst economy? Where did you get this new? Let me guess, the liberal media. The economy is kicking ass right now, mainly due to the tax cuts that Pres Bush enacted a couple years ago. Look up the unemployment rate. Gosh, you’re an idiot.

    Continued…..in next post.

  3. Continued…..

    >>Remember Beta Max/VHS. Beta ran faster and faster produces better quality but VHS won out. Remember vinyl/Cassette. For a time cassette won out though vinyl gave fuller sound. Not better, more convenient. Now CD/MP3s. You don’t own MP3s for your information. You rent them. How about Mac/PC PC may not a better way to go but it is the most popular. Guess what? Popular doesn’t mean good. The two/two term for Bush is not an excuse to love him. Clinton won two terms too. Let’s love him. People are scared of change so they vote incumbent.

WTF? I don’t LOVE Bush. I LOVE that he defends my free way of life. You and the Democrats don’t. I love Apple and the Mac because it’s the best computing platform. Simple. I have to add that you also mentioned earlier that I didn’t know anything about liberals. Well, let me inform you that I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. NYC!!!! The mecca of liberal crap. I know what the F I speak of. Again, you’re a moron.

    >>And I agree this is all whining but I will not be back. This was all done on a dare. I was told that if I posted I would get posts I would not believe. I’m sorry people, he was right. Assumptions and hate driven protests is not a way to win an argument or to get a point across. You post these things here to incite anger and to those sucked into it you do accomplish just that. There are better things to get angry at and try to fix. Like I said. Love or hate, Bush is in for three more years. He neither needs your support (he’s done what he set out to do) nor your bashing (he’s painted his own corner, he’s a lame duck). Those are the facts kids.

    Typical liberal pap.

    >>TheMacDude, I don’t believe you believe anything you say. You are one of many people who take this as a video game and are more interested in arguing a point even if it is wrong just to see how many people you can get excited. I see that most people here don’t fall into that trap. It doesn’t work, give it up. Yeah I know, I did but like I said, I’m new at this and will not return. I’m not nor ever was interested in these kinds of posts.

I had a feeling you were 14. This last paragraph reflects that.

    >>Aussie:
    >>If you really are from Australia I am embarrassed that you have to see this mindless hate because of a political view. You see from affar what people can’t see in the eye of the storm. Maybe we should all step back. Great Post

Ask the Aussie if he appreciates Muslim rioters? You liberals will not only get yourselves killed but also me and my family. That’s why I vehemently disagree with you idiots. Like the Iraqi lady Betty Dishawa said, “Anybody that doesn’t appreciate what America has done, and President Bush, let them go to hell”

  4. I just have to say, liberals are the most gullible people on the planet as they can be easily convinced that good is evil.

War for Oil? Hmmmm. if that was the case, why didn’t we take Kuwait’s oil when we liberated them from Saddam Hussein in Gulf War I?

You liberal people will believe anything. Just another observation for you. Ever wonder why liberal judges always tend to release criminals that are a danger to society? Theses criminals usually go out and commit the same crimes. Gullible, gullible, gullible. They’re the ones that will believe the “dog ate my homework” alibis.

  5. “……I just have to say, liberals are the most gullible people on the planet as they can be easily convinced that good is evil. …”

    This is just insane …..

Lemee ask you ….. just WHO are the gullible ones that voted for Bush ??

This is the same guy who gave compitition a major setback when he decided to pad Cheneys wallet with those billion dollar no bid contracts to Halliburton ??…

The same guy who promised Americans …. “…. And the people who knocked down these buildings will be hearing from us soon….”
(NYC – several days after 9/11)

Then proceeded to sit on his hands for 3 months while OBL and his Talaban friends… took off for the Afganastan hills… then, after 3 months .. send in only 11,000 troops who’s main mission was to install a puppet president (Karzai ) … who previously was a liaison for Unocal ….. (isnt THAT interesting ?)

And to top it off … (Bush) pressured his underlings to …”Find a Saddam connection to 9/11″ … so he can justify his invasion / occupation of Iraq … !!

And you think all of this is bunk ??? ….

Oh…. I could cite many more incidents for you…. but why bother ? …

you wear those horse-blinders very well !

TheMacDude …. methinks it is YOU … who are the gullible one here !!

I challenge you to justify any of the above …. if you can !

  6. I said I wasn’t going to come back but this deserves response. TheMacDude, I’m flattered. I made you so angry I got three different post from you. Thank you. And you call me an idiot. LOL.

  7. No, Mac Fool, it took that many posts to rebut your stupidity.

BTW, you wankers that don’t believe in liberal media bias, try reading this 10 year independent study.

    http://www.newsroom.ucla.edu/page.asp?RelNum=6664

“While the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal is conservative, the newspaper’s news pages are liberal, even more liberal than The New York Times. The Drudge Report may have a right-wing reputation, but it leans left. Coverage by public television and radio is conservative compared to the rest of the mainstream media. Meanwhile, almost all major media outlets tilt to the left.”

Read it and weep. I expect denial to run deep within the liberal posters here.

  8. mac dood — You are truly blind.

Uber-Liberals see nothing wrong with their choices. They are unquestionable. Inviolate. If you dare challenge anything they say, you are branded as unsympathetic, uncaring, and worst of all, greedy.

This is a far, far more insidious disease than exuberant patriotism because it feeds on the seemingly well-educated yet oblivious among us — those who can’t (or refuse to) discern that the feel-good bleatings genuinely do no good for the causes invoked, except to make the uber-liberal feel better about him or herself for taking some (misguided) action.

They rail against energy waste whilst insisting on owning an SUV so their children are “safe” on the roads. They bemoan tax cuts because they’ll “hurt the schools” yet they’d never consider cutting the bloat that is the NEA or even their local or regional administrative morass. But perhaps most telling, as a group they give far less than their conservative counterparts to genuine charity and benevolent organizations that utilize donated funds to actually reach the disaffected. Better to occasionally write a $10 check to the Sierra Club to assuage feelings of guilt whilst living in a wood-frame house and buying refrigerators full of food containers made of plastic.

  9. Perpetual Motion…

    “……mac dood — You are truly blind….”

On the one hand, you dismiss me as being “blind”… and on the other hand you go off on some diatribe… using nothing but stereotypical metaphors, for some “Uber-Liberals” who may.. or may not even exist in the world !

Is this the kind of tactic Fox News-watching, pro Bush people use to evade questions they would rather not answer ??

You never addressed one single point in my previous post !

Instead, you would much rather carry on the doctrine of attacking the point of view of at least 49% of the people of our country ….
Is this the true American Way ?

Fact is…. our country was founded on a free exchange of ideas …. lest you forget … and both sides of the asile.. have valid ideas to bring to the table !

But, from what I see…. the pro Bush people, refuse to even acknowledge this …

    So… WHO .. is blind ?

And… to refute you on a couple of your points ….

I have never owned an SUV …. all my kids survived just fine riding in a 6-cylinder sedan …
Yes, my house is wood framed … uhhhh … is there any other kind ?
I have never written a check to the Sierra Club …and my fridge DOES have some plastic containers inside … but I’d be willing to bet… yours does too !!

  10. “I have never owned an SUV …. all my kids survived just fine riding in a 6-cylinder sedan …”

    Bully for you.

“Yes, my house is wood framed … uhhhh … is there any other kind ?”

Kind of nearsighted there, eh? There are MANY other building methods — full brick, metal frame, insulated concrete form, straw bale, concrete, etc. Who’s mypoic now?

“I have never written a check to the Sierra Club …and my fridge DOES have some plastic containers inside … but I’d be willing to bet… yours does too !!”

Yah, but I don’t complain about the environment so much with every other breath like uber-lib’s.

  11. “….Kind of nearsighted there, eh? There are MANY other building methods — full brick, metal frame, insulated concrete form, straw bale, concrete, etc. Who’s mypoic now?..”

Yes, and the Indians used deer skins for their teepees, too !
But what does this have to do with building standards in different parts of the country ?

For example … You wouldnt want to use brick to build a house anywhere near the part of the country which suffers from earthquakes… but brick is great for houses built in tornado alley !!

Fact is… for most purposes ’round the country, wood framing is the standard for construction… or… I guess you just like to pick nits, huh ?

“….Yah, but I don’t complain about the environment so much with every other breath like uber-lib’s….”

Where have I complained about the environment ?? …. You still are evading the more important points I have raised here, by using the old “bait and switch” method …

You seem to think that if you rail against the “Uber-Liberals” long enough… the points I have raised here will magically go away !!

“Myopia” must be your middle name !!
