“One of iOS 10’s cool new features is the ability for developers to create sticker pack animated emojis for iMessage using the Messages API,” Seth Weintraub reports for 9to5Mac. “Apple is showing how it is done, so to speak.”
“Apple last night released 4 apps for iOS 10 beta testers, most of which will look familiar to Apple Watch users,” Weintraub reports. “The Classic Mac sticker packs, originally designed by Susan Kare in the 80s was included with iOS 10 but is now there if you’ve uninstalled and want to reinstall.”
Here are the downloads for iOS 10 users:
• Classic Mac
• Smileys
• Hearts
• Hands”

MacDailyNews Take: Here we go!
Our Messages app is going to look like an early 80s NYC subway car.
Oh good, no devil horns animated hand. Me = sick of that particular mythology. Sad to see it foisted in emoji.
But no animated exclamation Heart? Oops! Put that on the list for v2.
I am glad to see that Apple is leading in technology and computer programming, yet again. No doubt, this great leap in systems development was years in the making. I am thrilled that this coding masterpiece was kept secret for so long. All hail the Apple Skunk Works. Wait, no, let’s call it the Manhatten Project.
Are they sticky enough to pull the RAM out of the solder? Cool! Progress!
OK, this is something I personally can live without. Like video games. Tattoos. Asparagus. Bieber.
As long as I don’t get sent a sticker that I have to pay for to see, I’ll be happy.
I can just imagine the likes of Kardashian, West et al plotting already to bring out a giant ass sticker.
