Alphabet subsidiary Google’s Android website has added a new landing page for Google Messages which touts that Rich Communication Services (RCS) on Apple’s iPhone is coming in fall 2024.
A section describing the benefits of RCS — high-res photo/videos, typing indicators, and a better group chat experience — talks about how it’s “Coming soon on iOS.”
Apple has announced it will be adopting RCS in the fall of 2024. Once that happens, it will mean a better messaging experience for everyone.
When Apple made the RCS announcement in November of 2023, it provided a “later next year” timeline. Most people have assumed that to mean iOS 18 rather than iOS 17. Google’s mention today more or less confirms that.

Looks like Apple is making nice to smooth the road to Google’s AI on iPhones. Not a strong move.
That could be one reason. Another is that doing so will weaken the cases Apple is the defendant in both the US and EU.

Pollster, Scott Rasmussen has stated of “the elites”: “At the same time, they have very strong feelings about politics and the most politically aware of them, in what Scott Rasmussen said, was the most startling numbers he’d ever seen — 69% of them said they would cheat to win an election”.
GOOG was a significant player (as was FB) in controlling info per last election and per the stat above, they likely deem it absolutely fine to manipulate the info.

I have no idea what to conclude from this info. It’s just not clear enough to come to a conclusion.
F google and F android. I want to be able to discern people from that crap platform and be able to ban them. They will bring more virus’s and security problems to people with iPhones.
For those that want to interact with android phones, that’s fine, the option should be there. But I still want to be able to discern the source is not an iPhone and treat that person like the typhoid plague disease carrying crap tech that it is.
