Apple Pay Cash?
But still no Apple Pay person-to-person?!
What about iMessages in the cloud?
You trust iCloud? After being burnt too many times, I have moved on.
Umm, “the cloud” ≠ iCloud
Um, iMessages = Apple and Apple’s “the cloud” = iCloud.
If you try 1+2+3 quickly in the Calculator, the animation error still persists
That is a disgustingly embarrassing and unforgivable bug to have made it through iOS 11 and 11.1 betas. Either have the animation blocking (don’t register next keystroke until animation is done… a major annoyance and inconvenience), or speed up (better yet, get rid of) the superfluous and useless animation.
Emojis are not an update.
It’s like saying a new color is a new feature.
I get it, the kids like emojis. Me, personally, have never used one. Now, if emojis never existed, then adding them is a new feature. But adding more variety, that isn’t that big of a deal.
Apple & Jonny, you should be ashamed of yourself. ONLY 70 EMOJIS. With all the time you spend on those things, it should be 1070.
Wait that means the older iPhones and iPads that were able to update to latest iOS are still vulnerable to that WiFi Krack… Correct?
From https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201222
Wi-Fi
Available for: iPhone 7 and later, and iPad Pro 9.7-inch (early 2016) and later

Description: A logic issue existed in the handling of state transitions. This was addressed with improved state management.
CVE-2017-13080: Mathy Vanhoef of the imec-DistriNet group at KU Leuven
I just
Sorry about previous message.
I just spoke to an Apple Advisor and I can confirm that the latest WiFi Krack vulnerability is ONLY fixed for iPhone 7 and iPad Pro 2016 and later, and NOT for all other devices that were able to update!
iOS 11 trashed my iPhone 6S.. battery drains in 4 hours doing nothing.. the phone is always warm.. apps crash.. have to reboot every day.. my work IBM notes email and calendar stopped working.. Installed the new 11.1… no joy… still not fixed.. I am back on my old android until apple can fix this.. I wish I could go back to 10.3 !! My wifes iPhone 8 Plus works great on 11.. not sure what the issue is.. the phone worked great before I updated to 11..
@LVTom:
Had battery life issues, too with 11.0.x. Try the following:
Go to Settings>General>Reset and then select “Reset Location & Privacy.”
Others:
Note: if you have 11.1 beta 5 installed, you don’t have to run the update. (It may not even show up in Software Update). You have the final release already.
If anyone else has upgraded to iOS 11.1 can you try locking the phone from the home screen, then when you unlock see if a mysterious blurred thing drops down and up again from the top of the screen? It’s only cosmetic, just very obvious to me.
