“Reports out of Korea say Samsung plans to temporarily halt production of the Galaxy Note 7, and it should,” Ina Fried writes for Recode. “The Note 7 isn’t going to get a third chance.”
“With multiple reports that the supposedly safe replacement models are also overheating, there would appear to no longer be a market for [this] phone,” Fried writes. “The clearest sign of this came Sunday as AT&T and T-Mobile announced they would no longer even give replacement models to those turning in the original, recalled models. Verizon hasn’t officially halted distribution of replacement models, but a representative said it currently has no inventory of the devices.”
“Samsung should shift its attention from saving the Note 7 to saving its reputation, and its mobile business,” Fried writes. “The Note 7 is over. Samsung’s work now is to try to ensure there is a market for a Note 8.”
Oh, they have a future alright: Send half of them to Donald Trump and the other half to Crooked Shillary. That would certainly help improve the political climate in this country!
Any mistake with future totally redesigned models will be their instant undoing & death as a mobile phone maker. Feeling the pressure much slavish copier? As the stakes and technology get higher the Apple tough get going and the rest SamSplode. More cruel chuckles seem to be in order.
Airlines will continue to question anyone who has a Samsung device. Passengers will question other passengers if they are holding a Samsung device. People in bars, clubs, etc. will denounce the bomb holders like they did when they didn’t want to be spied on by Google Glass. Who wants to be shamed and ridiculed for using a damaged brand? There should be a mass exodus from Samsung this holiday season.
This may be extremely damaging to Samsung than people think. Now that the top carriers won’t replace them people will now have to downgrade to another Samsung. Get another Android, or switch to iPhone. With the demise of Blackberry and Windows phone enterprise buyers are looking for something new. Even if they don’t go Apple they will not be going Samsung. Whoever they choose they will be with a long time. Samsung’ profits are very dependent on cell phones. This will be a major financial loss that will take years to recover from.
Google could not have picked a better time to get into the market. Their phone is crap compared to last year Galaxy, let alone last years iPhone. They would of had a hard time selling to Android buyers if not for this problem.

Yeah I wouldn’t have any inventory either since they explode just sitting there – Might burn up the inventory of other phones.
Its a nice warning of how NOT to make a device!

If I switch to Android, should I get a Samsung Note 7 or an Amazon Fire Tablet??
The Note 7 of course. The Amazon Fire Tablet has yet to prove reliable life threatening flammability like SamSplode’s effart.
Maybe I’ll wait for the next SamSplode trail blazing model – the “Samsung Incinerate”…
Leaving no trace, or user, incriminatingly behind. Sounds like a winner!
ScamSplod💣 needs to innovate procedures for efficient recall of their ScamSplod💣Not💣7 phones.
I wonder if they’ll count recalled phones as ‘shipped’ when they report smartphone sales!? 🖖😀⌚️

That is what is called a third chance.
Although by that time it will likely be called a sixth chance.
