“Apple has faced a backlash over its suspected plan to ditch the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 – but another change could be far more popular,” Harley Tamplin reports for Metro.co.uk.
“Tech experts believe the new release will include fast-charge technology, meaning the phone will regain battery much quicker,” Tamplin reports. “The iPhone’s slow charging compared to other smart phones has been one of the main criticisms of recent versions of the device.”
“But, according to a Twitter user specialising in phone leaks, the new iPhone will use improved circuitry supporting ‘at least’ 5-volt, 2-amp charging – current chargers are rated at one amp,” Tamplin reports. “If true, the phone would charge substantially faster…”
