Incorrect. I work at a 50000+ US company, and we aren’t off today. I used to do consulting work for similarly-large companies in the US (Cisco, Ericsson, HP, Verizon, AT&T, to name a few). Not a single one ever game MLK day off.

Usually it is MLK day or Presidents day that is a holiday. In the case of my job, it was Presidents day. My SO, got MLK day off but not Presidents Day.
