T-Mobile to offer $0 down on iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3; pre-orders start October 22nd

“T-Mobile today announced plans to begin accepting pre-orders for the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 on Wednesday, October 22, offering its 16GB entry-level models for $0 down and $26.24 per month for qualified Simple Choice customers,” Juli Clover reports for MacRumors.

“T-Mobile’s customers who have a Simple Choice plan can add a tablet to their plan for $10 per month,” Clover reports, “getting up to 5GB of data based on their existing plan.”

  1. This allows T-Mobile to advertise “free iPads”, making them seem as cheap and as affordable as the iPhones seem to be.

    And T-Mobile’s no-contract plans with interest-free loans is ultimately the best way to buy these devices. If others jump on the same bandwagon, there will be a significant bump of iPad replacements in the coming months, among people who weren’t planning on replacing their perfectly functional old iPads.
