Microsoft CEO Nadella begins rearranging the deck chairs

“Microsoft Corp. Chief Executive Satya Nadella is starting to reshape the team helping him lead his company,” Michael Hickins reports for The Wall Street Journal.

“The elevation to chief strategy officer of Mark Penn, a man more widely known as a political polling consultant than technology maven, could be a reflection of Mr. Nadella’s focus on customers,” Hickins reports. “Tony Bates, who was passed over for the CEO job, is leaving the company, with Eric Rudder, the head of advanced strategy, taking over his duties, Bloomberg’s Dina Bass reports. Tami Reller, the executive vice president in charge of marketing, is also leaving and being replaced by Chief Marketing Officer Chris Capossela.”

  1. This guy is just a patsy/stooge character. The Ballmerites still run Microsoft and always will and aside from arson/demolition of Redmond campus there’s absolutely no way of getting rid of them.

    1. Seriously, does it matter what deck chair the rats are in when the ship sinks?

      Sorry, that was mean, I do hope Microsoft does manage to pull themselves out of their decade-long malaise, as I do believe competition is better for everyone. I just want to see the new MS compete on merits rather than trying to buy or bury the competition.
