“The brand of phone you buy can say a thing or two about your income and lifestyle, and now a new test has discovered it may also indicate how intelligent you are too,” Victoria Woollaston reports for Mail Online.
“A thousand smartphone users were challenged to take a series of online brain teasers designed to test their mental agility,” Woollaston reports. “iPhone users were found to have the quickest wits of all, completing the test in 94 seconds, on average, while BlackBerry users were the slowest at 118 seconds.”
“The test was carried out by UK bookmaker Ladbrokes who picked the participants from a list of people who use its smartphone app,” Woollaston reports. “The Test of Wits is made up of seven brainteasers designed to test problem solving skills, pattern recognition and code cracking.”

Makes sense. If I choose an Android over an iPhone I have already exposed my level of intelligence. Why do you think there is such a high rate of Android returns and high rate of switchers BACK to iPhone ?
… and better looking …
When I image the typical male Android phone or tablet buyer in my mind they always resemble the character, demeanor and intelligence of Goober & Gomer Pyle with all due respect to George Lindsay & Jim Nabors. Goooooolly! Shazam! Surprise surprise SURprise!
They’re all very Wal-Martian
😀 ! Good one!
That’s funny where is the control group? You know people that don’t use a mobile phone at all?
Applying your thought to food you’d be saying, “Hey, how come you decided people like good food over shit, where’s the control group of people who eat no food”?
So apparently, according to your way of thinking, we’d never be allowed to test what food people prefer either.
Gee I think I am going to have to put a joke tag when I post.
Shit can be used as food, perhaps not by humans very much but I’ve seen other animals eat it. So it would not be following my train of thought.
Mind you one could run an experiment testing intelligent capacities of people with a regular diet vs. those that have not eaten food as one can survive for several days on water.
But that isn’t the test is it, it’s a test between various phone users. I still say it would have been interesting to have had a group that took the test and that do not use mobile phones at all.
Food for thought.
Samsung recently announced its engineers have developed a method to extract food directly from the sea.
Next project: developing a human that can eat sand.
Chicken & Egg, those who have more money are likely to be better educated and can afford the better things.
This is what I have said many times. The problem, though, is that there isn’t much quality Apple competition. I was hoping that Ubuntu would have gotten a bit more exposure in 2013, but apparently that did not happen. To me, an educated person, at least in terms of products, is one who uses obscure platforms that may not be popular, but is of high quality.
This is a report about a test. There is no “bashing.” It is a factual report. Don’t invent “bashing” where there isn’t any. There’s enough bashing in this world already without manufacturing more feigned or misplaced “outrage.”
So does this mark a change in your posts from the usual “misplaced outrage” that no-one wants to read on a Mac news site?
No surprise there. When you go with Android, your stupidness shines right through!
haha andrioids are for da dum poeple..
