Remember, best way is Combo Way. 🙂
Nope! It’s not working via software update! I guess I’ll have to login as admin for that work! Too bad!
Didn’t work for me either.
You always have to log in as an admin to install software updates.
Go COMBO, its much more reliable when updating the OS.
I haven’t bothered with the combo updater since the early days of Tiger. Guess I just like to live dangerously, but I haven’t had a problem update yet.

I agree with both you and LordRobin. Way, way back when (Panther I think) I had issues after a delta update. I downloaded the combo installer – problem solved. That said, I haven’t downloaded the combo since Leopard I think.
How about the extremely irritating bug where Finder forgets what Desktop background you’ve set, and just decides to revert to the last one you used? Any chance of a fix for that?
That’s a really annoying issue.
Yeah that bug sucks. I’m hoping it fixes my Thunderbolt issue, where my audio out jack stops working after disconnecting/connecting my TB displays.
Screen saver fix?
Please be “fixed” so annoying. Granted it happens only about once a month though.
There seems to have always been an issue with screensavers in OS X. Very annoying, indeed. 😭
Maybe they made the screensaver a bug so people would just set their screen to shut off instead of sucking down CPU..
Screensavers are for people who are desperate for entertainment.
That post was for people who love to find some reason, no matter how trivial, to make themselves feel superior.
I set my screensaver to display photos after 5 minutes, and turn the iMac off after 20 minutes.
The bug stops everything.. will NOT even shut down or even lock the screen no matter what, unless you manually shut it down or lock it it will always stay on.
I know. I can’t believe my Myley Circus TWERKING Screensaver will not be at optimal viewing pleasure.
