A continuation of Logitech’s solar series, which started with the Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 and has continued with the Logitech Solar Keyboard Folio for iPad, this new keyboard adds Bluetooth® connectivity with an easy-switching capability. Why is a number pad so important to you? You can find any number of Bluetooth enabled number pads in the market on eBay or Amazon.
The design of this keyboard and of the Apple Bluetooth keyboard follows the principle of compactness – that the BT keyboard should mirror the functionality of the MacBook Pro keyboard so you can transition between the MBP and iMac seamlessly.
If you don’t understand that – Apple’s desire to maintain design consistency across its product lines, you understand nothing about Apple’s philosophy at all.
The last outboard number pad I tried didn’t function properly when using the calculator app. They didn’t map the clear key to it. I’m with Tbone on this one–no number keys, no sale.

I agree with the others. I miss the keypad on my iMac’s Apple keyboard and have had unreliable function from both a Bluetooth keypad/calculator and from a USB connected keypad. I do not think the extra length would ruin the aesthetic as much as the cable does so I wish Apple would make a Bluetooth version of their keyboard with keypad! Same applies to iPad.
