I just tryed it and it was lagging BIG TIME. But Then I seen there’s a update for it. So I’ll see if it’s better then. Sure it will be.
iCommentsI played the latest version. I’m sure the bugs will be worked out soon. Suprizingly, iBooks is buggy too. Only the top half of my “shelf” is displayed..the rest is black. If I rotate to landscape, it all shows..then rotate back to portrait, and it’s fixed.
RR2 HD is working quite well, overall. I have played it a lot since Friday, and the only negative that I have seen is that every once in a while the graphics will freeze for a split second. The problem rarely occurs and is fairly minor.
Can see why Apple called Sharp to help with new iPad.

The 85-inch screen, developed by Sharp, uses Super Hi-Vision, a next-generation broadcasting technology that packs 16 times the resolution of today’s high-definition TV. The set could be in Japanese homes by 2020.

Hmmmm so it’s not only my 1st gen iPad that’s lagging under iOS 5.1 !
For me everything lags, including the text I am typing here! Yes I rebooted many times.
Shame apple, shame!
Shame on Apple for trying to make a device you bought a couple of years ago even better…
I have a first gen iPad as well and have not seen anything substantial in terms of stuttering on games or apps.
