“We today discovered that Apple published eleven new profiles for various iPhone-operators,” Your Daily Mac reports.
“These files are compatible with iOS 5.1 and are set for release on March 9,” Your Daily Mac reports. “This could indicate that iOS 5.1 will be released around that date, is will be available for the following devices: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 3G/4G, iPad, and iPad 2.”
Your Daily Mac reports, “We expect that Apple could release iOS 5.1 simultaneously with the announcement of the next-generation iPad, which will likely take place early next month. But these are all rumors and it is hard to give a more precise indication about the iOS 5.1 release date.”

Imminent…
….is any one else still having issues with battery from current install .. After last update I went from four to five hours on 4s to at the max 2 hours and that’s with iCloud turned off … But I don’t mind as my plug is always near (-: just as my iPhone is always in hand …
No, I definitely am not having that problem. My battery life is the same as it always was.
I had battery problems with my two year old iPad ( I bought it on the first day available). I took it to the Apple store and walked out half an hour later with a brand new replacement – no questions asked. Go Apple!
Similar problem with iPhone 3GS.
Swapout with no fuss and minimal charge.
Top marks AppleStore Exeter.
I am having issues like this. I’ve documented it over a month with screenshots of the usage meter, my battery percentage and current time of day.
I am hoping this will be enough evidence for the Genius bar to replace my phone, as I am not getting more than 4 hours on a full charge. I DO use iCloud. 😮
I for one am getting my camping gear ready so I can be first in line at the Apple store. I am so sure they have the date right.
Oh, and Powers, my 4S is working just fine and so is my iPad 2, same as they have since day one.
Yep Powers, I’m noticing the same issues. Tried to figure out if I had anything else running, but definitely getting way less battery life. I even turn Bluetooth off. Love the 4s though & I’m also fortunate to be around power all day.
No issues here, I can go almost a full day with my 4S, and that’s with Bluetooth on and listening to music.
Battery life was seriously impacted with iOS5. Some of the interim bug fixes improved the situation, but it’s still an issue with me. Here’s hoping 5.1 fixes things for good…
Exciting speculation! Can’t wait to see what the iPad 3 has in store on March 9th!
