After much recent flakiness, Apple claims MobileMe services restored

Apple’s MobileMe has been, um… performing less than optimally over the past few days, but, early this morning, Apple claimed that everything, including MobileMe Mail, is working again:

  1. I don’t think that they are having breakdowns. I think they’re up to something… this close to the new iPhone & iPad… doesn’t pass the sniff test. But what is it? I got no frakkin’ idea.

  2. MobileMe Mail is too unreliable and my business depends on email for issuing invoices and quote. Too many times emails have simply vanished as if they never existed. Consequently, we have had clients refute late invoices because they were never received and we can’t even find any evidence they ever existed, even though our recording keeping (our invoice tracking system and using spotlight comments to note date & method of transmission) shows otherwise.
    We have had enough and will host our own email soon. Since Apple are killing iWeb, we may as well pull the plug on all paid Apple “cloud” services.
