“Last month, we saw a leak of the design specification which claimed to be for the iPhone 5,” Arnold Kim reports for MacRumors.
“Chinese case manufacturers seem to be betting on that design as they’ve already started producing cases based on that design document,” Kim reports. “We’d even requested and received some early renders based on the case designs.”

Kim reports, “Given how predictive the case designs have been in the past, we commissioned CiccareseDesign to create high quality renderings made as closely as possible to the original leaked case designs.”

Don’t you find it amazing how the internet is all abuzz by this? Keep in mind, these aren’t leaked images of a rumoured iPhone 5; these are actually product of someone’s imagination, and the only guidance were (again rumoured) specifications for casings for the (rumoured) next iPhone! Let’s not forget, a web site (MacRumours) actually paid some design company to create these images!
In other words, so far, we know exactly nothing. We don’t know if there is an iPhone 5, when it will come, what it will look like, since Apple never said a thing. We haven’t seen any reasonably reliable leaked images of prototypes yet. So, since there is this massive, insatiable hunger for rumours about the next iPhone, MacRumours.com decided to spend some money and get a design firm to just make up images of what they believe future iPhone might look.
Can anyone imagine leaked (or made-up) images of the next Dell Inspiron laptop circulated around the web?
