“Got an old iPhone laying [sic] around collecting dust? You can now trade it in for a discount on anything Amazon.com sells, including a new iPhone or iPad,” John Brownlee reports for Cult of Mac.
“Amazon has just updated their electronics trade-in program to now include older devices like the iPod Tough [sic], iPhone 3Gs, iPod Classic and original iPad,” Brownlee reports. “Though the program is currently in beta, if you’re willing to part with one of your old iDevices, you can get a decent discount in the form of credits on any other Amazon purchase.”

iPod Tough, iPod Tough…
I wonder what the store credit for one of those would be!

A brown Zune has to be worth something. It’s only four years old.
You have to pay them to take it.
Someday my black Zune will be a prized object. Still in the original box.
Think about it, so few were sold, that in twenty-years time they will be collectors items. They people around here talk I may as well be the only person who owns one.

I noticed that also.
I still have mine, I really need to craigslist it or something.
Just clicked the link, see all phones page 5 or something.
iPhone 3G 16gb black, up to $153.
What? No trade-in for a Fat Nano?
iPod Tough – sounds good actually.
I visualize a black-n-khaki shockproof, waterproof, rubberized combat-capable version with big, chunky controls.
The iPod tough — “rugged-ized” for construction site work!
