  1. Glad it fixes the rebuffering/try again issue… Hopefully it will also not take 2 minutes to start watching things (streaming buffer) and after fast-forwarding…

  2. Can you wake the Apple TV from sleep with the iPhone remote app yet? Or do you still have to use the aluminum remote first and then switch to the iPhone?

Or have I been missing how to do this?

  3. Update has completely slagged NetFlix. Unit freezes and crashes when trying to log into NetFlix. Did a power re-boot… no change. Reset all settings… no change. Did a restore… no change. NetFlix STILL locks up and crashes the AppleTV2. Irritating

  4. My AppleTV has been having most of these issues. Been having to restart the thing every day.

So I update the AppleTV. After letting it do it’s stuff I try to use it. I am unable to connect to Netflix. I am asked to input my netflix account id and password. After donig that it cannot ocnnect.

Have restarted the unit (yet again). Still no joy.

Think it is time to return the unit. It seems hosed to me.

  5. Could not access Netflix tonight, either, so I tried to access it first on an iPad and then finally via Safari on my computer. A message was posted on the Netflix site that their site and servers were temporarily down and unavailable.

  6. Can I use Apple TV to stream everything (desktop, YouTube, Safari, iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, etc.) to my TV or do I still need an obnoxiously large cable to connect to my MacBook Pro for that stuff? Is AppleTV only good for watching stuff thru iTunes and Netflix?
