“A Reuters eyewitness saw what appeared to be a working model of the next iPad with a front-facing camera at the top edge of the glass screen at a press conference to mark the debut of News Corp’s Daily online paper in New York on Wednesday,” Saba and Madway report. “A source with knowledge of the device confirmed its existence, adding that the final release model could have other features.”

I think that’s just supposed to be an iPad showing off the new Daily app – not a photo of iPad 2.0.
I have an iPad, I can’t buy an iPad 2 even if I wanted to so I don’t care until it’s a decision I can make.

With the extra RAM, it probably runs better on there. Wouldn’t shock me if The Daily was made with the horsepower of the iPad 2 and the next major iOS revision in mind.

on just the right angle, the ambient light sensor on the current ipad can look like a camera. it happens to sit in the rumored place where the front camera would be facing.
but I’m thinking the 30 seconds of internet fame are over.
