  1. Got a 64gb wifi with case $798 total
iPad says to be delivered on the third the case says to be shipped around then. So it looks like we might get the iPad on the actual release day and the accesories a few days later.
I didn’t see any options for in store pickup on the online store or on any of the retail store pages. Guess you gotta do that in store?
Btw I ordered exactly at 730 and still haven’t gotten my confirmation email…

  2. @buh-bye Kindle,

Wouldn’t it be funny if that happened in the first few hours? I would not be surprised.

Ordered my 64GB with 3G, case and Applecare right at 8:30a EST. Probably wont make a difference in priority but so be it. Can’t wait.

  3. Where is the Memory card adapter to import photo’s from a camera which was talked about during the introduction of iPad? So Apple expect us to travel with both a computer an iPad to import our photo’s into it? How much more can Apple limit us?

  4. 64Gb WiFi – pickup in Store on April 3rd. I live in a rural area that doesn’t have reliable Saturday delivery, I’d rather drive an hour to the Apple Store and know I have it on 4/3.

I ordered a couple of docks and the case after I finished the reservation. I’m hoping those ship out in late March and arrive before I pick up my iPad.

  5. For in store Reservation, I had to go to the actual store’s website. There was a link that said “stay up to date” about the iPad. On that page, there were two links, one for ordering online and one for Reserving at the store. Then you still have to select the state and the store to reserve it. You pay when you pick it up and it will only be held until 3pm, then it’s first come first served.

  6. Ordered 2 (64 WiFi,64 WiFi+3G) at exactly
8:30am when Apple store came back on
line. No waiting, no problems. The WiFi
comes on the 3rd and case some 2 days
    later.
    Confirmation eMail at 9:16am.
Interesting that iPad Camera Connection Kits
    were not available.
    It’s gonna be a long 3 weeks.

    The Apple Retail Store team

  8. ordered mine. living in canada but shipping to a relative in the states to forward on up ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

  9. Reserved the very first one at the Apple store in Natick MA this morning. I was there for one to one training before the store opened.
    Great place with excellent employees.

  10. 2 ordered… 1 64GB wifi+3G, and 1 16GB wifi only just because I couldn’t wait a month to use the 3G model. I’ll sell the wifi on eBay.. who knows… by then they may be out of stock and I can get more than I paid. Wishful thinking maybe…

  11. I am waiting until the price drop on version 1.n (where n > 0). I can’t bring myself to pay that much for a Mac without a terminal command shell. Sorry, just the nature of my work. I am sure many others will find this deice immensely useful and entertaining.

    just my $0.02

  12. Ordered 16GB WiFi with accessories to understand where the future lies. As long as this can connect on the network, there seems no reason to not be able to use this a s a form of smart terminal @ work for half the price of a MacBook.

Reading emails, orders, acknowledging and printing shipping docs, seems like a reasonable thing.

Plus, my dear wife can figure out how to use the iPad without significant training just like she did with the iPhone. That means I don’t have to constantly explain how & why and her MacBook goes to the business for other work.

Win-Win: Apple gets money, I spend less support time.

  13. It’s now been about 3 1/2 hours since Apple started taking orders. Any minute, we should feel a slight disturbance in The Force, as iPad sales surpass Nook sales entirely. A couple more hours and it’ll pass the Kindle too.

  14. Checked with the local apple store and they were experiencing the same errors. Might just be in the southeast. Back online with a working reservation page bu 11:30 Eastern time.

Order 16Gb Wi-fi for the house. Going to wait to order the 3G till later.

  15. Anybody not get a confirmation email? I’m talking for pre-orders not reservations.

I used a non-US card. I was not sure if that would be ok but it was accepted.

I can see my order status on the site no prob.

But no confirmation email like seemingly everyone else got?

    Anyone else waiting?
