Apple today released Bonjour Update 2010-001 which “improves the reliability of connections between iTunes and Apple TV.”
Bonjour Update 2010-001 is available via Software Update.

I’m on my second TV (first was replaced by Applecare-dead drive)
The problem I’ve had with it is needing to reboot about once a week.
I don’t know if this is an issue with the newer software, the ‘new’ unit, or the 5GHz network I set up on my new Airport Extreme just for the TV.
It generally streams smooth, so I’m afraid it might be the unit.
Any others having to reboot more often lately?
MDN, isn’t it bad enough you sprinkle so many “links” among the text, but they have to be Bing links? C’mon, now. Salt in the wounds, much?
I don’t know if Bonjour update helps, but iChat is the program that seriously needs an upgrade. Prior to the latest operating system update it worked great. Now, no matter what I do it is a pixelated mess. I end up switching to either Google Video or Skype and it works great.
Safari is so much snappier now.
@rw
iChat was a lot better after the update for a while and is now as you described it. I use it quite a bit.
re DLMeyer: I’m getting pretty spoiled. FireFox with Adblock+ does not show those garbage links you are talking about. I had to check the article with Safari to see them at all.
Sites that force ads to enable content are cheerfully deleted.
Bonjour?
May wee.
I never seem to have to reboot my Apple TV. I do feel like Time Warner throttles me sometimes.
Just added ATVflash recently. Really expands it nicely. With an external drive as my main drive I now have 700 GB of luscious real estate for content.
SmartyGuy
check with your neighbors that have TW to see if they are having the same problems at the same time. Could be nothing more than too many customers on a split being overloaded at peak times that needs another node.
“May wee.”
Yea, go ahead, just put the seat back down for the gals…
I wish that they would put the Bonjour Update 2010-001 on Apple’s Software Support page too.

I think you mean “mai oui”.
I couldn’t agree more about putting this and all updates in Apple Software support. With 10 Macs to update and choosing not to install anything on any of our machines until someone else has tried them for a week or so, I end up having to manually take control of the machines one at a time in order to do updates when they aren’t available as downloads. Royal pain.
