“Apple has acknowledged that it is working to fulfill orders for its new 27-inch iMac, though the hardware maker has not officially addressed reports of screen flickering for some users,” Katie Marsal reports for AppleInsider.
“While Apple did not respond to claims of hardware issues causing the delays, numerous threads on the Apple support forums have reported screen-related issues on the new 27-inch iMac,” Marsal reports. “A number of users in particular have claimed to experience screen flickering on the hardware.”
Marsal reports, “When reached for comment, Apple offered an apology in a statement Sunday to Jim Dalrymple of CNET: ‘The new iMac has been a huge hit and we are working hard to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience or delay in delivery this may cause our customers.'”

DX, you have an amazing ability to generalize from your personal experience to the total destruction of Apple. Thank goodness we can get the truth from diehard Apple fans.
@ Gordon,
Apple will fix it. But it sounds like the cracked glass screen happened during an Enderlean earthquake. Get it? Fairy tale?
Get a life.
@Big Als MBP
Actually I have quite a good life. When not drinking rum and coconut water on one of the many beaches in this part of the Caribbean, or enjoying Carnival revelry and partying between January and March of each year, I spend lots of free time following motor sport events locally, in the region and internationally (now that I no longer actually drive race cars as I did for many years).
What’s your life like?
