Arsenal launches official Arsenal Football Club app for Apple iPhone and iPod touch

Arsenal Football Club have launched their official app for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch.

Now Arsenal fans can be fully connected with the club 24/7/365, even on the go.

The ‘Arsenal App’ takes its news feed from the Club website. This is the official mouthpiece for the English Premiere League team – the place where statements are released, news is broken and transfer deals confirmed. With the ‘Arsenal App’ you can choose which news feeds you want on your home page – main news, Reserves/Youths, Ladies, Junior Gunners, Community or USA. There are also dedicated pages for fixtures and the latest Premier League table.

In addition, each first-team squad member has a detailed player profile with personalised updates every month and live statistics.

There is a video section where you can find exclusive interviews with the players and special features. Pictures of every first team game will be posted in the Gallery section as soon as possible after the match.

Managing Editor Richard Clarke said in statement, “We hope the Arsenal App is the final piece in the jigsaw for the Club’s fans. It means they will be able to follow the team anywhere, everywhere and all the time. For us, this is very much Phase One. We have other exciting developments in the pipeline. But they will be revealed in due course.”

MacDailyNews Take: Good: Arsenal, Boston Red Sox, Apple. Evil: Manchester United, New York Yankees, Microsoft.

On that much, at least, we certainly can all agree. wink Feel free to append to the list.

  1. Sissy non-American football? Who cares. Typical girly game only a MAC or I-Phone lemming would pay attention to. Seriously. Who else could get excited about a game that often ends in a 0-0 draw? Yawn. Keep boasting about all those burp, fart and now lame sport apps. Wait ’til you see the MLB and NFL apps for Zune.

Besides, soccer is the game European women invented so they would have something to do while their men cooked.

    Your potential. Our passion.™

  2. @ Zune Tang®,

I’d bet that most of those Europeans would be more than happy to show you how to use your Zune HD with the new ‘Preparation H Suppository’ app.
