Apple special event coming soon?

“Apple has on many occasions uncrated new products on the heels of Macworld,” John Paczkowski reports for AllThingsD.

“In February of 2008, the company announced new iPhone and iPod touch models,” Paczkowski reports. “In February of 2006 it debuted the Intel Mac mini and iPod Hi-Fi. In January 2005 it uncrated new PowerBooks and a month later, it announced a new iPod mini and an update to iPod photo.”

Paczkowski reports, “Clearly there’s quite a precedent for post-Macworld announcements, and in all likelihood this year will see a few as well.”

  1. The dual-core iMac works quite well. A quad-core would have to be a much more efficient chip to avoid thermal problems, but I have no doubt that Apple will eventually deliver four, eight and even more cores across its product line. Just don’t hold your breath hoping for Mac Pro performance in an iMac package at an iMac price point.

  3. The Mac mini is long overdue for a refresh. My mom bought hers over 14 months ago, and it was new then. While it serves her needs better than any Mac or PC she’s ever owned, it’s feeling dated. Let’s see that update, Apple! My employee needs a Mac, and I’ll only buy her a mini.

  4. I had a very bad stomach ache after breakfast yesterday and to run to the toilet to make a “deposit”. It happened again this morning.

Clearly there’s quite a precedent for post-breakfast deposits, and in all likelihood tomorrow will see a one as well.

  5. @Wha?? Sorry dude, but if you don’t know what an iPod mini is, kinda discredits you and your other comments.

There wont be any special events until Steve is well enough to front them. Hopefully that will be February coz I’m hanging for the new Mac mini.
