Motorola’s future flagship handset, code-named “Alexander,” has been spied by The Boy Genius Report.
BGR reports that the handset’s OS will be Windows Mobile 6.1.
For the three readers now left reading this report, the Motorola entry is said to feature assisted GPS and a 5-8 mexapixel camera.
Release date is fourth quarter 2008, according to BGR.

If that’s the flagship, Moto’s fleet is sunk.
Everybody now!
I wish I were an Oscar Mayer wiener …
Bell didn’t invent the phone. He was first in line at the patent office by a few hours.
ugly, small screen, atrocious OS
GOOD LUCK !
hehe, i actually stopped reading before “For the three readers now left reading” (saw it after reading the comments)

“Bell didn’t invent the phone. He was first in line at the patent office by a few hours.”
Unfortunately, he was second in line for the patent on the wiener. If not for that, today we would sing:
“I wish I were an Alexander Graham Bell wiener …”
And it’s goodbye Motorola…….
This thing give “designed in America” a bad name.
Has Moto ever heard of “focus groups”? hello?
Who the hell thought up this waste of good landfill space?
Appropriately named after the Oliver Stone film that tanked.
It looks like a shoehorn.
Whoa! Chick Magnet!
(In Soviet-era Ukraine)
Missy Pants,
Good one!
FreddyThePig,
In order to use those tiny keys, Moto offers their optional Freddy Krueger Multi-Stylus. Very avant-garde.
The sarcasm went a little over the top when you brought up the Ditty. Good job otherwise!
this has to be the most butt ugly red headed bastard child from hell cellphone. seriously? they have got to be doing meth to come up with crap like this
i really do hope they blow a ton of cash trying to morph this into a phone. Geez I think they used this in Forrest Gump to play table tennis.
sugar grove,
Since there’s nothing in the picture to give it scale, this thing could be much bigger than we realize. In that case, it could be used as a snow board in a pinch. We might see it utilized in the next James Bond movie.
if it’s a slider and thin, it doesn’t look that bad. the only bad thing is if it’s not touch screen and if they are really considering using Windows Mobile.
Poor non-Apple handset makers, shackled to Windows Mobile … just like non-Apple PC makers are shackled to Windows Fistula.
NOPE! No thank you. That’s not for me. However, the Motorola RAZR2 V9 looks pretty nice. If they made an iTunes version, I’d buy that.
“Bell didn’t invent the phone. He was first in line at the patent office by a few hours.”
He still invented the phone.
It was his version that got the patent first, but that doesn’t negate the fact that he invented the phone.
this is the iphone killer for sure
