Apple today released Safari 3.1.2 for Windows which is recommended for all Safari Windows users and includes stability improvements and the latest security updates.
More info and download link (44MB) here.
MacDailyNews Note: This fixes the Safari “carpet bombing” bug, according to ZDNet. More info here.
Woo hoo.
SB called Sufferi for windows.
This is good news for me. =)
I am forced to use Windoze at work, but Safari is the only web browser I’ll use.
If only the download link would work. Currently, it refers to Safari for OSX 3.1.1
Firefox 3 is MUCH faster than Safari on Windows
i can’t get it to work with the proxy server at work 🙁
So Apple fixes a problem that exists in Windoze. If M$ wrote better code, this problem would never have existed!
I love the way that ZDNet headline this as an “about face” and then fails to read the part where it says,”This issue does not exist on systems running Mac OS X.” The note states that “an issue exists in how the Windows desktop handles executables.”
I rest my case!
Spin that one, ZuneTang!
=:~)
Safari isn’t gonna do well in the WIndows world competing with Firefox…
For Safari to win, FireFox doesn’t have to lose…
Just finished installing FireFox version 3. Sorry, Apple. To little, to late.
