“Rumours abound that hip hop star Just Blaze has told all about Apple’s much talked-about sub-notebook, after he was promised one for performing at a recent Apple Christmas party. The mystery machine is allegedly to be announced at Macworld in January,” Scott Snowden reports for Reg Hardware.
“According to website boygeniusreport, Mr Blaze was one of several music celebrities who performed live at the company-sponsored music event for Apple’s employees. I can’t stand a lot of Hip Hop myself (although I have some of the better stuff in my library).. but the comment you made regarding it is unnecessarily inflamatory and uncalled for.
@switcher…. get over it, if the man (ampar) doesn’t like Hip Hop he, like myself and others, simply doesn’t like it. And that doesn’t make it racist any more than if a black man doesn’t like country, or classical, or even rap.

While I am not a fan of Rap, Hip Hop, or Country for that matter, It is just not cool to stereotype the way some of you have been doing. I only just barely consider Rap to be music but that is my personal opinion. I can only barely tolerate listening to Hip Hop or Country other than a song here and there but again, this is my opinion. Given the option, those are not musical genres that I listen to. However, my wife (no slouch in the brains or musical taste department), happens to like a handful of songs from each of those segments. As a professional singer, I would sing songs from the likes of the Beatles, or Sinatra, or Nine Inch Nails, or Mozart, or Bach, or any of the names mentioned by Hint Hammer any day of the week before I would sing most of what passes for popular music today. That is not to say that there are not a handful of really talented people out there these days, it’s just to mention my personal preference. Can we please cut out the name calling and stop bring race into this? This is a Macintosh related site not a music discussion site.

To think that just because ampar doesn’t measure up to your myopic definition of being politically correct in a discussion thread, and that your singular objection to his comment regarding music that contained NO racist overtones, is inherently somehow racist, is simply the stupidest argument I’ve seen on the net this year.
