Apple’s Mac OS X Leopard Golden Master hits BitTorrent sites

“Leopard has reached the Golden Master status. It means that Leopard is ready, because Gold Master status is given the final shipping version of the software which is sent to duplicators for distribution.
The expected release date is the next October 26th,” MyMac reports.

The full MyMac report also contains a link to “Download Leopard Golden Master via Torrent” via torrent site “Mininova” here.

  1. It’s kind of a fine line between reporting the news and helping contribute to copyright infringement. I think MDN may be stepping over that line a bit here as I’m sure plenty of people will take advantage of the convenient link they have provided.

Apple, you better give us a date, otherwise you may find more people clicking on that link!

Oh, that is so sad that you are FORCED to STEAL!!! In similar logic, since BMW doesn’t make a purple Mini Couper, I was forced to steal one and paint it the color I wanted. Life is so tough….

Yea why bother paying close to $3000 for a MacBook Pro to get a matte screen when one can buy a matte screen PC laptop equal to a MacBook in performance for under $1000?

    Just doesn’t make sense.

I have a large investment in Mac OS X based software in which I make a living.

I can’t afford a expensive MacBook Pro and I can’t use a glossy screen as I work outdoors processing my photo’s for the web.

Now what the FSCK am I supposed to do?

Apple made their choice and I have made mine.

    “I can’t afford a expensive MacBook Pro”

So which is it? You can afford the software but not the computer to run it? Are you a very good photographer?
