” Whether lobbing fireballs and researching forgotten spells as a powerful Wizard . . .”
Known as Tuesday morning in Steve Ballmer’s office closet.
OK – I get it – the Sept event is announcing a new platform for Macs…a gaming platform! Hardware to fit the software! We’ll see if this is true…
…Rise from a peasant to a full-fledged hero as you defend the Realms against one of the greatest threats of the age!
Beastmeister and his monkey-boy?

Speaking of teens, where is Call of Duty 3?
BTSOI’s hilarious post from yesterday:
“No, you should play games. On your iPhone. On your iPod. On your Mac. At home. In the airport. At boring meetings. On Friday nights. Everywhere. All the time. Nothing is more important than playing games. No, I’m serious. You need to go for broke and just play, because well, everyone knows that’s what makes life complete. Get your headset and tell people from India that they suck for busting up your Halo group. Talk in game-speak because that makes you even cooler still. Better yet move back into that basement at your parents so you have more money for MMORPG fees. Play when others are at work so you can get mad skillz. Work is for suckers, you know. Play, play, play.”
I love it.
Hooray! A game coming out for the Mac that’s been on Windows for a year!
I don’t know why game manufacturers even bother. We don’t want your crappy Windows leftovers.
Looks crap compared to World of Warcraft.
No sale here im afraid,
Anyone catch the MDN spoof site. Very funny. Very true. Aparently the owner of MDN is a criminal, that is why he wont go public and remains anonymous.
@ Zune Tang
No I didn’t catch the MDN spoof site but I did catch on to the fact that you’re full of bull and just love spreading it around!
MDN magic word – wall, for wall of bull around Z T’s head
Well the <strike>owner</strike> chief software architect (don’t blame him for the HOT XBox products) of Microsoft is a criminal (and don’t forget to follow in his footsteps and question what the meaning of ‘is’ is).
But we’d love a link to the spoof site, as you know we all enjoy a good laugh (well some of us)

I tried Google and kept running up against this, “MacDailyNews: A place to be called a moron by idiots”.
NeverwinterNights2 (NWN2) is a load of crap and Windows users have been telling me this.
Anyhow the 5 or 6 year old Neverwinter is better than the current World of Warcraft (WoW). That’s my opinion anyhow, I don’t like WoW.
But a major title coming to the Mac is a boon for us serious computer users, it’ll bring over those gamers, the ones with more time than anyone else to do anything better. Then ruin Steve Ballmer’s day even more when gamers leave Windows for the Mac. The last real bastion of Windows users.
At least with NWN2 it’s not as long a wait like 2 years for the Mac version of NWN. Though with that thought isn’t that what it should be, work on actually getting the game closer to completion before releasing it!
ONLY 49.99?????
Only?????
WoW is a great game. Better than Neverwinter? Meh. The problem with WoW isn’t the game, that’s great. The problem is the players. There is something very wrong with people who weep openly (on TeamSpeak) at getting a purple. Pathetic.
I used to play and DM a lot on a NWN 1 server (LOTR: Gondor vs Mordor) and was part of a NWN 2 project as well, but I could never test the game because I was on the Mac, and my long term plans involved a Mac Pro with a Windows XP install for Neverwinter Nights 2.
So, anyway, this news makes me glad, but the demand for a Mac / Linux version was there from the start. I can’t find the official Mac / Linux NWN 2 Atari forum thread, but it was filled with pages and pages of raving Mac and Linux users asking for NWN 2 on their platform of choice.
I wanted NWN2 for my Macbook Pro when it first came out. I never bought it because it was Windows only (I do have a Windows machine though). I kind of have other interests now being a year later, and although I think its nice they will finally port it to OSX, I still have no intentions of ever buying it. I buy most games for OSX that look interesting, then buy games I really really want badly for Windows if there is no hope of having a OSX version… but sometimes they can do things just too late.
