Sony recalls 416,000 digital cameras

“Sony is recalling 416,000 digital cameras because the case may warp, creating an edge that can cut or scratch the user’s hands, the company said Thursday,” The Associated Press reports.

“The recall affects 350,000 Cyber Shot DSC-T5 cameras sold in the United States, Europe and China, about 66,000 sold in Japan,” AP reports.

“Customers are advised to check the model and serial numbers of their cameras to see if they are among the affected products,” AP reports.

  1. Like, y’all know that Steve is the highest remunerated CEO in the entire world don’t you? At like a BILLION dollars a year?

I luv Apple products, but in what definition of greedy can “worlds highest paid CEO” not be defined as greedy?

I’m an Aussi and we have some much more profitable companies than Apple, yet our highest paid CEO (Macquarie Bank, who seem to own most of England these days as well as Australia) last year earned a “miserly” $30 Million. And all our CEOs cop an aweful thrashing in the press, most of which earn under 10 million.

    See my point?

People are entitled to their opinions, and if the best we can do is flame a company who’e CEO called another CEO out on his outrageous remunieration while billions of people in the world are starving or worse, then we have a lot of evolution left in us.

    Peace.

  2. @ C1 The real Camera rocks!! I cut my teeth on one of those!!

@ Jay Yep! Sony invented rootkits and unleashed them onto the internet. Crooks realised the nugget they had been thrown and immedietly began cashing in on them, thus costing you & I a fortune in rootkit removal & detection software. Why did Sony do that? To stop you from copying a Sony released CD onto your ipod or computer, even though you had already paid a hefty price at the record shop buying it in the first place.

@ ShadowMac, One Dollar a year is what he actually gets paid and taxed on. The One Billion dollars you mention are as a result of his shareholding + options of which you and I as shareholders are entitled to. Except you & I do no not as many shares as he does, so we stand to loose as much as we gain in as much as he does.

Your Aussie CEO’s cannot possibly fall into his category because I do not think that they actually started their business’s or pioneering their business’s in the same way that he does. I maybe wrong, correct me by all means.
