“Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim is the world’s richest man, worth an estimated $US67.8 billion, after overtaking Microsoft Corp founder Bill Gates, according to a respected tracker of Mexican financial wealth today,” The Herald Sun reports.
“A 27-percent surge in the share price of America Movil, Latin America’s largest mobile phone operator controlled by Mr Slim, from March to June made him close to $US8.6 billion wealthier than Mr Gates, said Eduardo Garcia in Sentido Comun, the online financial publication he founded,” The Herald Sun reports. “Mr Garcia estimated that Mr Gates was worth $US59.2 billion.”

Carlos Slim invested 60 million dollars when Bill Gates puts 150 on Apple stock back in ’97 in the return of Steve.
He is a partner with Microsoft in México. There is a MSN site here called <a > T1MSN</a> .
He bought TELMEX from the government being a monopoly for quite some time. Today, despite the competition, TELMEX have the majority of wired lines in México, the main Internet provider (broadband) and the largest provider of cell phones.
Telefonica Movistar is a big Spanish company that is second in México.
There are rumors that both companies already talked directly with SJ for carrier iPhone in México. In some blogs they talks about Telcel to be the one here.
Also, as a rumor, the iPhone will be in México BEFORE Europe, maybe August or September.

Let’s get something straight. It’s not xenophobia when your country takes in more folks every year than went through Ellis Island during its peak years of operation, and these folks: 1) Refuse to assimilate, 2) Smuggle in drugs 3) Don’t speak your language 4) Maim and murder the citizenry 5) Steal jobs 6) Don’t pay taxes 7) Trash the environment. There’s a good reason why folks are anti-illegal immigration — we’ve seen what it does. If anyone wants to come to the U.S, they’re welcome to, as long as they get in line, pass the test, and integrate. That’s no different than what we’ve asked of every other immigrant, brown, white, black, yellow, or whatever. The illegals feel that they are above the law, just like a majority of politicians do.
The answer is to make Social Security optional, and freaking seal the borders already.
