  1. I didn’t even have to download it manually. When I ran Airport Utility 5.1, it informed me I had an update available. It downloaded the update and installed it, restarting the Base Station after the update.

The new “n” Airport Extreme Base Station is a great product. I didn’t know anything needed to be fixed in the firmware, but it’s still working great after the update.

  2. Power save feature for the HD sounds great. I plugged in my old iPod mini and it works great, but I hate knowing it spins 24/7. And performance? It’s slooooooow, hopefully this will speed it up. The first firmware update was CRUCIAL, no one could get VPN working, and that is absolutely a MUST in my house.

  3. THIS JUST RELEASED AT WWDC!!

“see your content streamed to its destination with : “AirC” the new way to watch your videos in the air”

    Totally amazing!!

this has been confirmed from a non apple related german website with a leaked copy of OSXI

  5. Yes, the new firmware update does feel more responsive.
