  1. “I can’t believe Apple spent so much precious time upgrading a software app. Isn’t Apple a hardware company devoted to convincing Intel they have the best design?” – Overheard during Michael Dell’s nap time.

  2. So far, looking very good! But taking time updating previews of my 6000+ 16.7 megapixel photos. But it’s much more responsive, the controls are great and next week I get to go to a photo workshop partially sponsored by Apple where they’ll have the latest Mac Pros, iMacs and Aperture!

  3. Now if only Apple could devote as much time to Keynote. That app is so asking for an update. Sluggish as hell and crappy editing (still no layers, no zoom etc.). Keynote is so promising – but why don’t they make it more professional?

  4. Still no support for camera sound files, a big oversight if Apple it trying to win over Photojournalist.

    Importing seems faster!!!
I think I can start using Aperture for deadline Lakers & USC football games now, cool!!!

Today (Sunday Sept 30th) is the last day for Aperture eCoupons! (That $200 rebate thing)
The coupon expires tonight. Get your order into the Apple web store now.

  5. Wow, using Aperture after the update (on a 2.16 Ghz MacBook Pro with 2 GB RAM) is like night and day. It is now super fast. Previously selecting a new folder to browse would take 5 seconds. Now it is pretty much instant. I have about 15000 images in my library. Well done Apple.
