To pick a song out of a list, you have to laboriously enter letters of the alphabet using the down arrow, and many functions require lots of arrow clicks and navigating fly-out submenus. Again, the company promises to improve some of this navigation.

@Static: Sounds very interesting about the NAND ultra-portable Mac. But $600.00? – doubtful. That technology is still quite expensive right now. Samung already has a unit out, but it is only available in Korea:

Hey Guys, I need a little help. At work there’s a couple of eMacs running Mac OSX Tiger. Every time one of the eMacs start up iTunes also boots up. I have looked in iTunes preferences and also System preferences with not sucess to turn it off. Any ideas ?

Solution #1 – If their eMac is set up to automatically start OS 9 on startup (see “Classic” in System Preferences), there may be an iTunes alias in the Startup folder.
Solution #2 – Take one of the effected eMacs to any Apple Store (pref as soon as the store opens on a weekday if you want to avoid crowds) and have a Genius look at it for free. This should be a very simple diagnosis, and they’ll tell you how to fix it on the other eMacs.

Open System Pref’s and go to Accounts, click on login items and see if iTunes is showing up. If so delete it.

Just to check all possibilities, are you sure you don’t have iTunes accidentally set to “Open at Login”. I know this is probably the first thing you checked, but I figured I would throw it in.
